The Apostle Paul is a Fraud, and Honesty Matters

More and more people seem to recognize this, but at present, it might only be about 1%. I know of no Christian organization that supports this claim.

I first investigated this issue at jesuswordsonly.com around November 2015. After about 3 days, I realized that I had been wrong, wrong for 17 years, to assume that Paul was an apostle, simply because he wrote most of the books of the New Testament, or because other men compiled his books into the Bible, and that Paul claimed to be an Apostle based on his self proclaimed visions, his signs and wonders, and conversions of others.

There is simply a mountain of evidence that I could not prove wrong, nor ignore. Here is what stood out to me as the strongest.

WE ARE DIRECTLY COMMANDED TO NOT BELIEVE ANY REPORTS LIKE THE ONE PAUL GIVES!

Matthew 24:23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.

24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

25 Behold, I have told you before.

26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.

  1. Paul claimed he saw Jesus in the Desert, on the road to Damascus. Acts 9:1-19, Acts 22:6-21, Acts 26:12-18
  2. Paul claimed he received private revelations from Jesus, as “in the secret chambers”. Galatians 1:11-17, Acts 26:16
  3. Paul claimed to be an apostle, based on “great signs and wonders”. Acts 15:12, 2 Corinthians 12:12

There is a lot more, of course, as follows.

Jesus warned about the Pharisees. Paul was a pharisee.

Jesus warned about blind guides. Paul was literally blinded on the road to Damascus.

Jesus warned about hypocrities. Paul is a hypocrite, thus making him spiritually blind as well.

Jesus warned about people who turn people away from the Law. Paul’s essential message is that we don’t need to obey the law.

Jesus, after his resurrection, in Matthew 28:20, said to continue to obey the law. Paul claimed that the law was nailed to the Cross along with Jesus.

Jesus warned about people who add to the law. Paul ads to the law adding commands that men must wear short hair, that women wear long hair, no jewelry, that women can’t speak in Churches, that we can’t obey the law or else be condemned by it, that widows under age 60 should not be financially supported, all sorts of weird non Biblical law utter nonsense. In Jesus’s parable of the lost son, the father puts back on him a gold ring.

So, based on this very limited presentation, in order for me to believe Paul, I have to specifically disobey the direct commands of Jesus to “believe it not”.

To believe Paul, I also have to assume Jesus was so incompetent, that Jesus did not know his law was nailed to the cross, and that Jesus mistakenly commanded obedience to the law after his resurrection. Matthew 28:20

I have to also assume Jesus was so incompetent that Jesus mistakenly chose and mistakenly educated for 3 years, in person, 12 Apostles who were all wrong and had to be corrected by Paul, an admitted blasphemer and killer of Christians, who supposedly got the gospel right from a brief appearance by a vision, when Jesus specifically said he would not ever appear in such a way, and that if others claimed he did, we were to “believe it not”.

So that’s a brief summary of why I cannot believe Paul is a true Apostle. But I think it really comes down to the fact that I’m commanded to not believe him.

I believe this is one of the greatest “plot twists” of all time. Paul, false apostle? What a mind bender!

Here’s another plot twist!

In all my nearly 20 years preaching about gold and silver, and how we, especially we Christians, ought to avoid paper money usury as a false weight and measure and as an abomination, the number one argument that Christians give against this message is that Paul teaches us that we are not under the law.

Seriously.

And so, about 20+ years into my ministry of teaching about the honesty of gold and silver, as honest weights and measures, I finally get the counter argument for most Christians who say that honesty does not matter because of Paul. Well, Paul does not matter: because Paul is a false apostle, and we are commanded to not believe him.

  1. I am aware there are believers who dont like the pauline epistles and
usually just follow the gospels – I am unconvinced paul was a false prophet – his writings and testimony are a witness to the Master
and a long difficult ministry – the gospel of Luke was written
through retro active research as was acts – Luke was a companion
of Paul – your theroy is not holding water – too many people have vetted the canon from the beginning and the other writers would have called him out as a false prophet whether in the canon or the books written not included – the books of the apocrypha

    1. Many other writers have called out Paul as false. Look it up. As did James, and Jude, Revelation, and Jesus.

      1. I also read the stuff you cite, but come to a different conclusion. I certainly hope you are not claiming to be infallible. If you are wrong, and I believe you are, largely because you misconstrue the meaning of apostle, you have defamed a man of God, have you not? Seems pretty arrogant to me. I don’t know what brand is your Christianity, but you are getting way, way out there in la la land, so unsubscribe me, oh blind one.

        1. Read Revelation 2:2
Who was the apostle there in Ephesus?
Why would Jesus tell his disciples not to believe the same exact claim Paul made about seeing Jesus in the desert “do not believe it!” And then do exactly what he told his disciples not to believe that exact event? We are commanded (if his disciples were, we should take that seriously), not to believe when someone claims they saw him in the desert Or an inner room(both claims of Paul). . It was a light saying he was Jesus, blinding Paul. It wasn’t Jesus. Jesus was flesh and blood. He proved it after his resurrection. Paul’s story changed 3 times to 3 different audiences. He has no eye witnesses giving their testimonies. No names of anyone he claims also saw this. He needs 2 or more witnesses according to Deut.
Jesus didn’t blind people. He healed the blind.
Paul claims Jesus suffering wasn’t enough. So he,Paul was now the one chosen from birth(His words) to reveal Christ in him. Col. 1:24. Paul is basically saying he is the christ.

    2. Revelation 2 calls out Paul as a false apostle. Rev 2 “I know your works, your labor, your [b]patience, and that you cannot [c]bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars;

Paul wrote that all of Asia turned away from him. 2 Timothy 1:15 This you know, that all those in Asia have turned away from me, among whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes.

Revelation 2-3 was to the Churches of Asia. Jesus rebukes nearly all his Churches. If they needed to be rebuked for turning away from Paul, that would have been the perfect time to do it. This is not done. They are commended for testing a false apostle, and having found them liars.

      1. Your argument from silence is a no-no in any credible intellectual circle. Makes me doubt your credibility in the other areas you comment on.

        1. Read rev 2:2.who else is known to have been an apostle there? We know it’s not John who was saying he was that false apostle. The only other can be paul and whoever was with him Teaching during that time.
He contradicted himself so many times. A Pharisee of the Pharisees , who became all this g to all people, doing away with the law of God while also telling people he followed the laws perfectly. He is who Jude warned about. Why would Jesus warn his disciples , in Mathew, not to believe the exact claim paul made about seeing Jesus in the desert, and then do the opposite of what he told his disciples not to believe? It wasn’t Jesus who appeared to Saul in the desert. Paul is the anti christ. Claiming in Col 1:24 that he was making up for Christ’s lacking, Jesus wasn’t enough and Paul is now the one “chosen from birth” to reveal Christ to all. He is the anti christ. It’s too late. So many have been deceived. Taken the mark.

      2. Jason Hormel
With all due respect Jason, this false teaching must stop. Hopefully, this will cause you to pray and probe deeper.
Do you agree that God has FINAL authority over everything that happens? If He does not, He is not God.
If you agree with this, based on this irrefutable truth please explain to all of us who disagree with your teaching, why God, who promised that the Holy Spirit would guide us into all truth, would give thumbs up to a man who He knows to be a false apostle, to write 14 (or 15 if Hebrews is counted in and now you say also 2 Peter) to be included in His only written revelation to lost humanity?
If your teaching is true, God INTENTIONALLY misled millions of Christians for centuries and allowed destructive false doctrines in His holy Word.
In doing so, God WILFULLY blended light and darkness; included His truth with the lies of the devil; hence hindering the proclamation of truth and creating confusion; hindered the growth of the body of Christ into maturity to “walk as He walked.” In essence, God literally shot Himself in the foot.
No Jason God did not allow false doctrines in His only written revelation. The teaching you have endorsed cannot be of God.
If you still think so, please explain to us how you understand this?
Jason; the same spirit which discredits the Scriptures and deceived millions of men and women by creating mormonism, jehovah witnesses, the way, christian science and dozens of other cults, is the same evil spirit which has inspired the teachers whom you trust.
        In His perfect love.

    3. Paul,

I am in the middle of a study of the 24 things that supposedly make Paul a fraud, which “things” are contained in a link from an email that Jason sent. So far, it appears that the people at the site, “jesuswordsonly.com”, falsely promote evil about Paul based on their lack of knowledge of Scripture and/or a purposeful agenda to undermine the Word of God, by eliminating expanded inspired teachings of our Lord’s central message of “justice/judgement, mercy, & faith” (KJV), which our Lord plainly stated were the “WEIGHTIER MATTERS OF THE LAW”, and which He castigated the Pharisees for avoiding.

The “jesuswordsonly.com” teachers are nothing less than false teachers, who are modern day Pharisees & Sadducees that are “ATTEMPTING TO ESTABLISH THEIR OWN RIGHTEOUSNESS”, and to teach this FALSE religiosity to others, even though God had repeatedly condemned the Jews for this.

In fact, without Mercy, which is available to “whosoever” comes to Jesus Christ, through faith in Him, as the ONE that removed the barrier of our sin that stood between God & man, which God accomplished on our behalf, which allows Him to impute PERFECT SPIRITUAL RIGHTEOUSNESS to us, even the same perfect righteousness of Jesus Christ Himself, as His Gift to us, which we cannot earn or deserve.

Only after we receive the perfect righteousness of Jesus Christ, which we attain through faith in Him, do “…we establish The Law”, which before had only served to condemn us, and which now we can follow as a means of glorifying God.

Said apostate modern day Pharisees are attempting to destroy grace, through the introduction of legalism & religionism, which are the very “heavy burdens” that Jesus condemned the Pharisees for laying on the people.

These folks offer false doctrine to the world, based on ignorance of Scripture (whether real or feigned) and innuendo, which scripture numerous theologians have spent their lives learning, painstakingly separating ancient writings through spiritual guidance of THE Lord our God, through His Holy Spirit.

It is the believer’s duty to diligently and prayerfully study scripture under guidance of the Holy Spirit, and to reject Satanically inspired deception, which is stealthily being used to distort & confuse the words of THE Author & Finisher of our faith & salvation, Who is Jesus Christ our Lord, THE same ONE Whose central teachings of JUSTICE, MERCY, & FAITH are rejected by Pharisees, past & present.
      .

      1. Read rev 2:2.who else is known to have been an apostle there? We know it’s not John who was saying he was that false apostle. The only other can be paul and whoever was with him Teaching during that time.

      2. The author of Jesus words only is Doug DelTondo. He has scholarly education, well versed in Greek, you can go on his link and personally aka him questions. He responds Quickly most of the time.
This isn’t just a Problem of taking paul out of context.
He is the apostle of Rev 2:2 .

  2. I would ad that to believe Paul taught disobedience to the law would for an example, did Christ make a mistake by forgiving Mary Magdalene when the law clearly says the penalty for adultry is to be stoned to death! I think not Jesus made no mistakes and was without sin! Stick to your monetary analysis and leave the preaching of the Gospel to those called!paul didn’t teach the law didn’t matter but rather Grace and truth as Jesus fulfilled the law not do away with it! To walk in the spirit is to nit fulfill the lists of the flesh!

    1. Your reply, while I appreciate it, does not address nor refute any of the arguments I made. Did you read my article? As for Mary, the law requires testimony evidence. Not one person stood up to testify against her. Therefore, according to the law, “Neither did Jesus”, and neither could Jesus condemn her. It could well have been false accusations against one of his followers that he appropriately handled.

      1. Jesus could have condemned Mary because He was without sin, but he did not condemn her because of His grace to her and you can’t know that it was a false accusation against Mary because the Scripture says she was “caught in the very act of adultery” (John 8:4).

        1. But the Law specified that both the man and the woman be brought for judgment. They only brought the woman even though she “was caught in the act”. The Law was not followed. Jesus could forgive her because He is God and He would ultimately pay for her sin and all sin.

    2. Jason,
It is obvious that you have not been regenerated by receiving Christ as your savior. The reason I say this is because you are approaching this matter from a legalistic and natural perspective. You lack the revelation of the Holy Spirit!

      1. I’m pretty sure Jason
Knew he would be getting such a response ..

I’m shocked and think the issue may be the distinction between the kingdom of heaven and kingdom of God..

Jason, im not a very good writer and one who is face to face so please if you choose to respond understand my penmanship is poor.

      2. Ah, theodore cole, so instead of proving me wrong, you just accuse me. See Revelation 12. We know who the accuser is. Satan.

      1. I have an abundance of proofs, from the writings in the Bible, that Paul is a false-self appointed apostle; and his deception is working so well because most of you only see The Lord And Saviour Jesus Christ through the eyes of your chosen one (Paul)!!! What the true Apostles of Jesus says or even Jesus himself, mean nothing to you if the so-called Apostle Paul says differently. But you that take this stand are blinded and cannot see the Truth—good advice is to never argue with the authority that God set up through His Son and His Son trained the Apostles that The Son chose to take the gospel to all nations (Gentiles) Mt. 28:19–

  3. You leave out though how Ananias prayed for the scales to fall off of Paul’s eyes at the direction of God, even after making the case for Paul being a fraud. Why would this be done for a fake?

    1. Here is one answer: https://jesuswordsonly.com/component/content/article/6-contactus/260-ananias-and-paul.html

My own understanding is that there are mentions of two other men called Ananias. The other two are the high priest when Jesus was crucified. And the man who lied and claimed he gave his entire proceeds of his home sale to the Church, which was a lie, and who dropped dead at the feet of the Apostles.

The article above makes the point that there is no evidence that the Ananias who helped to restore Paul’s sight was actually a prophet. Furthermore, signs and wonders, prophecy and miracles, are no proof of truth, according to Jesus: Matthew 7:21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

  4. Paul a été persécuté par les juifs tout comme Jésus l’a été.
    Rien à rajouter.

    1. Google translate: Paul a été persécuté par les juifs tout comme Jésus l’a été = Paul was persecuted by the Jews just as Jesus was.

Persecution does not make what one said into the truth.

  5. You assume Paul did away with the law… Not true, he said the law is holy just and good. What Paul was trying to say, and most of Christianity get wrong, is that the law doesn’t earn you salvation, salvation is by grace. The law is a code of conduct that God expects us to live by. You don’t earn salvation by keeping the law but you can lose salvation by not keeping it. The Jews and many Christians believed that by keeping the law you earned salvation. It still takes God’s grace to grant us salvation.

    1. The best part about being a hypocrite, is that you can preach it both ways. Some use Paul to say the law has done away with, some claim Paul never said any such thing because look here Paul said the law is not done away with. But that just goes to show that Paul is a hypocrite. On the one hand, he says that if you circumcise, you may as well go all the way and castrate yourself. On the other hand, he had Timothy circumcised. Total hypocrite. Exactly as Jesus warned.

  6. Jason, I have red your work for years now. I found you to be trustworthy. That is what I like about you. I wondered where you went for the past few years. I see your argument clearly, regarding Paul being a false apostle. However, as a person who considers himself to be your friend, ans as an ex-cop, I want to tell you that you have simply miss-analyzed the evidence you are quoting, and have subsequently assigned a meaning to the evidence that the evidence does not demonstrate. It would take twenty minutes to explain that. Instead, I would ask that as an honest person, you simply ask God to show you the significance of Paul’s life, and his relationship to Jesus. I believe God will show you the truth. God cares about you, and you care about him. I am concerned that this simple miss-calculation on your part could lead you down a dangerous path that could endanger your well-being. That was not your intent. For once, find your self a safe spot along with the rest of the gullible sheep… that is…up until God speaks to you clearly about this matter. I do not believe this assignment to unmask the false apostle was one assigned by God. I do find some interest in the contraption you have devised to entrap Paul. Very clever, but not from the Holy Spirit of God. Your friend, Hank Bailey- Tulsa

    1. Thank you Hank. I shared some of the strongest evidence that speaks to me. But there is a whole lot more evidence that may convince you, as the ex-cop, you may find more convincing. I know it took a lot more than I shared to convince me. I read jesuswordsonly.com for three days before I was convinced. It’s all quite shocking, quite the plot twist, as I said. As far as it being “from the Holy Spirit”, well, the Holy Spirit is truth. So is this.

    2. Paul was trying to Kill Jesus’ disciples and stop the spread of Jesus’ teachings
When they figured out that they couldn’t stop Jesus’ teachings, they hijacked them instead
How can anyone with any reading comprehension skills believe in Paul’s Nonsense?
Jesus Never taught that I am going to Die for your sins and all you have to do is believe this and you will get to go to Heaven after you die
Jesus taught that you Will DO all the works that I have done and More
Jesus taught Faith Without Deeds is Dead
      Jesus opened his 7 Seals
You have to do this too
      Read The Gospel of Philip
Jesus accomplished Everything in The Bridal Chamber
Why hasn’t your Christian Church taught you what the Bridal Chamber is?
What Jesus called The Bridal Chamber, Moses called The Ark of the Covenant, and Noah called it an Ark
It is where GOD meets the Soul
As stated in The Gospel of Philip, GOD gives the Son Everything in The Bridal Chamber; The Chrism, The Light, The Redemption, The Resurrection, The Cross. Everyone who enters The Bridal Chamber will Kindle the Light

  7. Of course Paul is a Total Fraud
Paul taught of a vindictive punishing GOD whereas Jesus taught GOD is Love
Paul taught idiotic nonsense like if you are a slave to a Christian be a really good slave as if Jesus would approve of Slavery
Paul taught to Obey authority (Romans 13) because GOD put them in the position of authority (Complete Nonsense)
Peter, James and Thomas all told Paul to Stop teaching the nonsense he was teaching in Jesus’ name

That said you are still Clueless
You still haven’t figured out that Jesus taught what is today called Kundalini Yoga
What exactly do you think the 7 seals are that Jesus opened in Chapters 6 to 8 of The Book of Revelation?
The Book of Revelation and its 7 seals is a Metaphor for the Spine and its 7 Chakras
Why do you think that The Kingdom of Heaven opened up for Jesus after he opened the 7 Seals (Chakras(?
What was so Special about the 6th Seal? (The Third Eye)
Why did Jesus teach things like “when thine eye is single, the body is full of light?”
Because when you open your 6th Chakra you become a Christ
Why did Jesus say “Just as Moses lifted up the Serpent (Kundalini energy up the Spine) in the Wilderness (Meditation) so shall the Son of Man?
The reason Jesus’ disciples lived and traveled with Jesus for years is because that is how Kundalini Yoga is taught
What do you think the Bridal Chamber is?
Moses was Never a Slave in the physical sense, he was a slave to his mind (The Pharaoh)
Moses Never wandered around for 40 years waiting for the people who made the golden calf to die, he had to meditate until his desires to experience the physical world died
Moses’ experience at the Burning Bush is a Metaphor for the activation of his Kundalini and the opening of the first Seal
That is why GOD told him to Grab the Snake at the tail (Muladhara Chakra)
GOD Never instructed Moses to Kill various tribes, one of the commandments is thou shall not kill
GOD instructed Moses to Kill his Desires for the physical world, it is a Metaphor
It is amazing that only Hindus understand that the eternal battle between good and evil is the battle between the Soul wanting to return to GOD and the Mind wanting to experience the physical world
Jesus taught what is today called Kundalini Yoga
The 7 Demons that Jesus removed from Mary are the 7 Seals on her Chakras
Mary was Jesus’ Wife, the leader of his women disciples, and his most advanced disciple
I don’t think or believe these things, I Know them
    Wake up
Zechariah 4 describes the Spine and its 7 Chakras
Ezekiels dream of spinning wheels are about the Chakras
The same 4 beasts came out of them just like with Jesus in The Book of Revelation
As you purify your Nervous System, you True Nature is Revealed to you thus the term Revelation

    1. – “Why did Jesus teach things like “when thine eye is single, the body is full of light?”
Because when you open your 6th Chakra you become a Christ””

      Yes, Bible is 100% metaphors.
“eye is single” is referring to change of one’s paradigm from a dualistic to the monistic. Not just intellectually but at the deepest level indicated by words: “all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.”

      – “You still haven’t figured out that Jesus taught what is today called Kundalini Yoga”

But the Kundalini Yoga is a metaphor by itself!
So do not think that if you have put a name to something you necessary understood it.

    1. But the book of Acts exposes Paul, too. Because it correctly shows that Paul’s traveling companions are not named, do not testify on his behalf, could not testify on his behalf because they saw but did not see, or heard but did not understand, or vice versa. Acts gives three conflicting accounts; all from Paul. Acts 15 also shows the big compromise, which Paul never quotes anywhere in his epistles, but actually argues against it, saying we can eat food sacrificed to idols; this thus exposes Paul.

  8. I am dismayed and disheartened that with all the comments, not one is able to comment on the big picture here: “In all my nearly 20 years preaching about gold and silver, and how we, especially we Christians, ought to avoid paper money usury as a false weight and measure and as an abomination, the number one argument that Christians give against this message is that Paul teaches us that we are not under the law.

    1. I haven’t responded because it’s like being punched in the face. I need to pray and think before I respond. I was in total shock, then numb. This is not your everyday topic. Your entire doctrinal teaching of end times was based on Paul’s teaching. Also, it’s easy for you to express yourself by writing. I find it very difficult and face to face is my Forte.

      Thinking… slow to respond.

      1. Thank you. Thinking is good. It took me 3 days of thinking and reading, and when I first encountered jesuswordsonly.com it was like I was in shock.

        1. I have to say that I am really surprised that no one else has questioned the fact that it only took you 3 days?? to be completely convinced that Gods infallible word is false?? 3 days is nothing! How can you know anything for sure after only 3 days?? I might be a bit more impressed had you taken 3 years to study out your questions and confusion but come on! 3 days! Why would anyone take any stock in something someone is trying to prove as the truth when they only took 3 days to think about it??! ridiculous. So here is a question for someone who is only following the words of Jesus.. Jesus said “unless you forsake all you cannot be my disciple”(follower). Have you forsaken ALL Jason?? How much are your investments worth? What have you forsaken to follow Christ? Oh and btw, did you ever happen to notice that Jesus’s entire earthly ministry was to the Jews- the Nation of Israel? He actually said ” I did not come BUT to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” The people he made a covenant with. Most of the bible is to those people. You have to pay attention to Whom is he speaking? From Abraham in the middle of Genesis until the middle of Acts God is dealing solely with the Nation of Israel. Its not until he saves the Apostle Paul and raises him up to be the Apostle to the Gentiles- who were lost and without hope in this world because we were outside of the covenant. Not once before the Apostle Pauls writing do you find the words that “Christ died for your sins”. The Gospel of the Kingdom that was committed to the 12 Jewish apostles was “repent and be baptized for the remission of sins” .Once the people realized and believed that Jesus was truly the Messiah they were to repent of their unbelief and then be washed, in order to be a priest in the Kingdom ON EARTH. Which is important to note that the beloved Nation and their Kingdom has been set aside.. not to resume until after the rapture of the Body of Christ. Totally different program for us Gentiles. God in his great love and Mercy changed his dealings with man and we find all this out through the beloved Apostle Paul. That Christ reconciled the whole world unto himself.. Not imputing our trespasses against us.. and that by believing that Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again we can be completely forgiven of all our sins and have the hope of eternal life. How beautiful and amazing is that? That was the beautiful message that the Apostle Paul gave to us! That after we put our complete faith in Christs redemptive work on the cross that we are no longer condemned by the law.. we are not under the law but under Grace. Praise God for that!! Honestly Jason, you are fighting against a truth that will actually save you from eternal punishment.. The words that the Apostle Paul speaks are the words of Christ. You really need to pray and carefully read thru the 13 Epistles again.. keeping in mind that there is progressive revelation that is given to Paul from the risen Christ. Information that was kept secret since the creation of the world but is now made manifest.. Its referred to as the Mystery.. that through the death of Christ the whole world would be reconciled.. but its only by believing that His shed blood covers your sins.. pays for everything you have ever done or will do in the future that you will be saved from the coming wrath. The few verses that you give to try to prove out your theory are actually only to the people going thru the Tribulation.. which is after the Church- the body of Christ is raptured and taken to heaven. After the rapture the people left will have to endure to the end.. they cannot take the Mark of the Beast. Jude- revelations are all books containing information and doctrine for the people during the Tribulation.. Not us who are in the body of Christ Saved by Grace alone by faith alone. To find some excellent dispensational teaching that will clear up your confusion about the Apostle Paul go to Grace Ambassadors.com.. Also, Doctrine.Org. They have a ton of material that will help clear up questions. Please take the time to do more prayerful study.. Your eternal life is at stake. Grace and Peace

          1. I believe Paul was a true Apostle for 17 years. That it only took me 3 days of study to realize my error, I believe, counts to my credit. This shows I have a mind to adopt the truth, when it is presented. If it took me 3 years to come to this, I think that would show that the evidence is shaky, rather than how solid it actually is.

I see you reject the words of Jesus, and have quite the elaborate reason for that, from dispensationalism, that the words of Jesus are only for the lost Jews.

I see you bought Paul’s lie that he was commissioned to the Gentiles, from the 12. No, they never told him that, that’s Paul’s lie only found in Galatians, which is in direct contrast to Acts 15 and Matthew 28 where the 12 Apostles were directly commissioned to preach to the Gentiles.

Acts 15:7 And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.

Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

As for the value of my investments, they have gone to zero after I failed at bullion dealing, after having been robbed, and after having to deal with false accusations from the IRS, and after being under IRS collections efforts since 2014 until now and still ongoing. That does not prove my right. One does not have to have been stolen from in order to be able to obey the words of Jesus about Paul “believe it not”. For me, this is not a debatable issue. Jesus commanded it. We are to obey it. Paul cannot overrule Jesus, and neither can you. Nobody will save you, except Jesus.

You think you can ignore my evidence, and expect me to believe that Jesus ignored his own commands, and expects us to violate the commands of Jesus? No. I may have glibly believed that myself once, due to thinking that the books of the Bible were put together by men who knew far more than I did. But now that I can see, I cannot go back and ignore the evidence.

Do you honestly think you can persuade me that Jesus got it wrong after his resurrection, in Matthew 28, as I quoted, where Jesus commanded his 12 to preach to the Gentiles to obey the commandments? That Jesus was somehow ignorant that the law died on the Cross as Paul preached? Do you see the uphill and difficult and near impossible task you have? Telling me that all of the words of Jesus are “to the Jews” and not to the gentiles, when Jesus specifically said they were to go to the gentiles, which makes mincemeat of your position. Good luck trying to continue to believe in nonsense, directly against the words of Jesus. At least you ought to understand why you cannot convince me.

  9. This is so far from mainstream Christianity it’s not funny. The internet is a dangerous place when it comes to out-there religious views. I find the people associated with Gospel Coalition to be very good.

    1. Daniel 11:33 “Those who are wise will instruct many, though for a time they will fall by the sword or be burned or captured or plundered. 34 When they fall, they will receive a little help, and many who are not sincere will join them. 35 Some of the wise will stumble, so that they may be refined, purified and made spotless until the time of the end, for it will still come at the appointed time.

Daniel 12:4 But you, Daniel, roll up and seal the words of the scroll until the time of the end. Many will go here and there to increase knowledge.”

Daniel 12:9 He replied, “Go your way, Daniel, because the words are rolled up and sealed until the time of the end. 10 Many will be purified, made spotless and refined, but the wicked will continue to be wicked. None of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand.

      1. I agree with everything you have stated so far Jason, especially in you OP. I understand what you mean exactly by once you can see, you cannot go back. The evidence is overwhelming. When I presented these very truths and more to a gentleman, it ended with him telling me that I was saved through Paul and if it weren’t for Paul I wouldn’t be saved.. talk about shocking. It would make sense for the enemy to infiltrate from within and twist the very message and teachings of our Lord Jesus and lead many astray. I can only speak for myself and say that I had first begun seeing Paul’s errors 3 years ago, also like you after researching, I found the evidence undeniable and I realized very quickly that Paul had a different agenda, that of his own. The amount of study I have done (it’s been quite deep and thorough) and even more revealing and connecting scriptures since, they have become many.. too many to ignore.
I’m not a progressive, I do not identify with either or any political party, I have no hidden agenda, my only identity is in Christ ALONE and HIS way, which is the ONLY WAY. 🙂
        You are not alone brother..

  10. So according to this teaching, we can’t depend on Peter’s writings either; because if he was wrong there… “2 Peter 3:15 even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; as also in all his letters, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which the untaught and unstable distort, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction.” ….. then Peter must have been wrong other places. No more book of Hebrew either since Paul wrote it.
Paul is the most misunderstood apostle of all and has the most profound teaching. Be very careful Jason; at the judgment seat of Christ (which Paul wrote about), you will not be able to say “but they told me…” you are responsible for what you teach. The folks who are feeding you the food they chew belong to the category Peter wrote about.

    1. Also, Peter never dismissed Paul’s claims and said “ Paul’s teaching were hard to understand”

    2. 2 Peter copies nearly the entire book of Jude. Why is that? If you investigate, Jude’s condemnation applies entirely to Paul in at least 15 ways by my count. Many scholars claim Peter did not write 2 Peter. Interesting debate they have. Yes, some, and I, throw out Hebrews, too, written probably by a close follower of Paul. (not enough “I” statements for it to have been Paul). Nobody “told me” this. I used my own reading ability, my own reading comprehension ability, read the words of Jesus. Jesus told me this in his words in the text of the Bible, which I quoted for you. I see so many comments, but nobody refutes the details of the arguments I presented. That’s you evading.

      1. Love you brother.

No one has responded to the claims because of shock. Many people ( me too ) have listened to you for years. It would be like a man teaching marriage for life, writting a book. Proclaiming Gods perfect wife for each born again believer then leaving her for another women then announcing he has rejected the claims of Christ.

Extreme example but it needs to be.

I’m just starting today to read what you have sujested.

Please be gentle in your responses because you have opened a huge topic and many could stumble and most, like me are not equipped to respond by pen.

        😇

        1. I understand the shock. I went through the shock. 3 days it took me, as I digested the information for the first time. Took me a month before I could write about it for the first time.

        2. Keep in mind how shocked the Pharisees and teachers of law were when JESUS came about.. they even accused Him to be operating in a demonic spirit.. they couldn’t even recognize their creator right in front of their very face. He was eventually killed for their accusation of blasphemy and His very real truth of who He was/is.

Crazy to think the ones that are trying to point others DIRECTLY to Christ and and HIS teachings and commandments, NONE other, are the ones being called crazy.
I pray that you receive the truth that you seek. God bless you and peace be with you.

  11. A must read – best book ever written!
This will be a short synopsis for those w/o a computer, of what I consider the most important book (aprox. 2100 pages) ever produced called “Urantia”, the universal name of our planet. First let me say that if you believe in God/Jesus you surely know when you die you live forever in God’s Grand Universe which is so large that the human mind is not capable of understanding it’s size. If you fail to believe, you will believe after you read this book, it’s proof of God. The reason I say “live forever”is because this book is comprised of true facts from over a thousand people from the past history of our planet and the huge universe that are alive today. This book has some wording that may sound odd to our way of speaking as it had to be translated to English from a language not of our world. It comes in 4 parts, The central & superuniverses, The local (our) universe, The history of Urantia, & The life & teachings of Jesus. There are apx. 200 chapters which took me over a yr. to condense. Anyone wanting this book free of charge or some of the condensed chapters just get back to me at Risans2@frontiernet.net . It’s much easier to read from a computer monitor, but a hard copy is available on Amazon. In this book you will find out how our earth was formed, how & when life began, who was responsible for our evolution ,& all about the trillions of inhabited planets in the Grand universe. The most amazing fact you will learn is how immense God’s organization is and you will learn many truths that will enhance our Biblical history. Here you will find out where Adam/Eve came from, they were over 8′ tall, and all about the garden of Eden and their fall from grace, then on to the 2nd garden between the 2 rivers Tigris/Euphrates. You will learn about all the different races and how all the early religions began and spread over the world. What I found most interesting is what happens when we die. Our souls (if you believe in God) are transported by a certain type of angel (there are so many types) to our universe hdqtrs in our local universe where we get our new morontia body just like Jesus had upon resurrection where He was seen 19 times by hundreds of people. Then we enter the mansion worlds for training while on our journey to Paradise/Heaven. Jesus said “In my Father’s house there are many mansions” – not like you thought, huh! Here you will see so much beauty you will think you’re in Heaven. Also here you will be able to see your deceased friends & family!
One of the things that I learned about the Trinity, the Father,Son.and the Holy Spirit is that the Son is not Jesus, but the one and only Eternal Son of God. Christ Michael (Jesus) is our universe creator son of God, His # number 611,121 , who created our local universe Nebadon 4 billion yrs. ago . To earn this position He had to be bestowed on 7 planets , Urantia being His last and only one born of a mortal woman, Mary. He was born at noon Aug. 21st 7B.C. in Bethlehem as Joshua Ben Joseph, but much of the Christmas story is a fable like the 3 wise men bearing gifts and the star they followed being the same one we have today. Also a few other fables that Jesus said were just not true like Noah’s ark, an invention of the Hebrew priesthood. Noah, a wine maker of Aram, was real & built a boat for all his family and stock, he was dedicated to predicting floods on the river on which he lived and tried to tell all his neighbors to have a boat to save their families – they failed to listen and perished. Also the earth was never covered w/water since life began. There are a few other fables mostly created by the Hebrews like the chosen people of God, Lot’s wife- pillar of salt, swine going over the cliff (run by dogs said Jesus) and some others. Jesus’ twofold purpose as directed by God was 1. to reveal the Universal Father to the mortals on earth & all worlds in the universe and 2. to master the experience of living the full life promoting the idea of loving your fellow beings. His being crucified was not to save man from sin, but to show that “one can show no greater love to another but by laying down his life for them”. Truth can never become man’s possession w/o the exercise of faith. The Bible has been misunderstood for many yrs. due to the apostles and others being unable to grasp the real meaning of the Master’s utterances regarding the kingdom in the New Testament. God is only love – there is no wrath of God and no hell. At last, true religion is delivered from the custody of priests and all sacred classes and finds it’s real manifestation in the individual souls of men. Don’t fail to believe in God/Jesus as a non-survivor or when you die it will be as if you never existed – blackness. As a survivor you will never fear death, but will look forward to the next frontier with great excitement! Greatest book ever written. Get back & lets promote a movie!

    1. From your argument:
Paul also cast out a demon.
      Acts 16:18
This confirms that the power came from God not Satan.
      ===
      No, it does not:
Matthew 7:21-23 English Standard Version (ESV)
      I Never Knew You
21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’

  12. Jason – when you go to the grocery store, do you pay for your groceries with silver coins? Do you make your house payments with gold coins? Just wondering.

    1. I went through a period when I offered to everyone everywhere. Most refused. So I no longer waste their time.

      1. While many of us still wait for the fabled bull run in our most precious metals; it will arrive. Most of us read or are exposed to the potential price levels of both Au & Ag… Armed with an Austrian Economist mind set (which all of us had to seek out and learn for ourselves) we too can forecast dramatically higher prices vs. fiat.

So in direct response to your query of Jason about spending Silver and Gold on daily living expenses, I say with respect, who would? Indeed, PM’s holdings are the ultimate hedge and have to potential to liquidate debt, (a home mortgage for instance) at a fraction of cost. Jason’s admonishment against debt and usury, notwithstanding. Yet another comparison is with Crypto’s of course; The guy who paid for a pizza with a couple of Bitcoin to prove it could be done is noteworthy… An important, even historic “use-case” beginning to validate cryptocurrency. Yet, that pizza cost him nearly $40K and likely far more in the near future.

Jason, I too have followed you for years of course. Your bold headline regarding Paul has proved to be much more than a way to get clicks… You’ve smoked my fuses… & challenged my spiritual core to the point that I initially want to jettison this as heretical banter of dare I say, an unclean spirit of deception. I know your earnest & serious and not leveling that charge – Rather, I too will need to pray this matter through and seek discernment; perhaps additional learned counsel.
In all events, God Bless You!

        1. Yes, initially, I thought those people saying “Paul is false” are just totally crazy heretics. And so, if that is the case, they should be easily refuted as false. My first thought, before I even investigated, brought this verse to mind, because Paul rebukes this line of thinking already: 1 Corinthians 1:11 My brothers and sisters, some from Chloe’s household have informed me that there are quarrels among you. 12 What I mean is this: One of you says, “I follow Paul”; another, “I follow Apollos”; another, “I follow Cephas[b]”; still another, “I follow Christ.”

13 Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Were you baptized in the name of Paul? 14 I thank God that I did not baptize any of you except Crispus and Gaius, 15 so no one can say that you were baptized in my name.

But then again, Paul would have to rebuke those who call him out. How could he not?

  13. If Paul was such a fake, what was his motive for writing his epistles? What benefit did he derive? As I read his letters, he seems pretty passionate about stimulating people to get to know Jesus better, and to walk in a manner pleasing to Him. Seems counter productive for a false prophet to try to persuade people to get closer to God, don’t you think?

    1. And what is my motive? I think Paul was deceived by a spirit other than Jesus. Because Jesus specifically said that would not be him, and he commanded us to not believe it. Why disobey Jesus?

        1. The account of Stephen is in Acts. Stephen saw Jesus in Heaven.

John’s message was delivered to him by an Angel.

          1. And Paul instructs others not to listen to even an angel from Heaven (not hell) if one tells a different gospel than what they have been taught by him(Paul)..
            Galatians 1:8
Angels have played a major role all throughout scripture delivering messages from God.. why would Paul feel the need to instruct others not to listen to them?

  14. Wow….such a lot of ‘opinions’.
Why is it that we started out with ONE Church 2000 years ago and now boast over 30,000 Christian denominations?
In theory if we waited long enough we could get 30,000 ‘opinions’ about Paul …but what does it prove?
Simply put …private interpretation is a recipe for contradiction and therefore incorrect interpretations!
Leave it to the experts…why not try to listen to the organisation that can trace its foundation ….unbroken…back to the first apostle who ruled the Church…St Peter, to whom the keys were given and was given a guarantee that his faith would not fail [ by Christ ..aka…GOD ] and by simple logic this passes also his successors.
    Answer?…..THE HOLY ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH
Jason you are and have been in my prayers for some years….It seems I must pray harder. Cheers Kees van Strijp ,Australia

    1. Matthew 23:8 But you, do not be called ‘Rabbi’; for One is your Teacher, the Christ, and you are all brethren.

    2. Dear Kees van Strijp,
I love your comment on private interpretation! I am guessing that the “opinions” you mentioned could possibly be considered interpretations of the Bible by “non-experts” who may not have the tools or capacity to interpret the Bible in proper context. I would like to encourage you to take a little time to examine your “experts” which in turn will help you to examine your faith, to be sure it is a saving faith (none of us would like to think of ourselves as having anything but a saving faith.) The “experts” you mention who profess an unbroken chain, can be examined in light of scripture if you are willing. If nothing else, maybe you can do a quick examination by simply looking at least at one thing the catholic church (your experts) says/say about itself regarding the mass: Council of Trent, 22nd session canons 1-3
      http://www.thecounciloftrent.com/ch22.htm.
How many times does the Bible proclaim that Jesus was sacrificed/died (for the sins of all believers/followers of the past, present and future…?) How many times do the catholic church “experts” conduct a mass, which includes a “true and proper” sacrifice of Jesus that relieves sin (is propitiatory?) (follow up question would be which mass do you look to for your salvation?)
That “opinion/interpretation” of the Bible itself seems like it could be classified in the category of “private interpretation,” outside the pages of scripture with no sound interpretation or known context. Thus if you happen to believe the Bible is complete and inerrant, keep in mind that your “experts” are only partially using the Bible as Truth, thus leading you to another gospel altogether. Once that is recognized, it can be decided to choose the gospel of the Bible (salvation by faith alone) which leads to Life, or to choose any of the other gospels (most all others have salvation by works, i.e. purgatory not found in scripture,) all of which say they lead to life but all of which lead to destruction.
P.S. an objective look at history alone refutes any unbroken apostolic chain theory, even if it was soundly founded in biblical interpretation…. which it is not. Just another of many things to question of your “experts”
      In the love of Christ,

  15. So far, I believe everyone was very civil and respectful in their discussions. Thank you.

But also, so far, I don’t think anyone was able to prove where I lied, or why my central arguments could not possibly be correct.

I would characterize most of the rebuttals as evasive, or making new arguments; and usually not backed up by scripture, which is our authoritative source.

  16. “WE ARE DIRECTLY COMMANDED TO NOT BELIEVE ANY REPORTS LIKE THE ONE PAUL GIVES!” – Jason Hommel

Jason, the record of Scripture both directly and indirectly refutes your statement. Saul was on the road to Damascus when “suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven” and there, in a vision of and from Jesus, Saul was converted from a persecutor and murderer of Christians to a believer and follower of Jesus Christ, as testified to in the Scriptures by many of Paul’s contemporaries. Peter recognized that the writings of Paul, especially those explaining the Law, could be hard to comprehend. He defines for us the primary problem with understanding some of apostle Paul’s teachings. “And bear in mind that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation, exactly as our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has also written to you; As he has also in all his epistles, speaking in them concerning these things; in which are some things that are difficult to understand . . . ” (2Peter 3:15 – 16). Jesus was warning about false prophets claiming to be Christ, here, there, or in the desert and warning not to believe them and not to go see them. Jesus wasn’t warning anyone not to have visions of Christ. Where did Paul, after his conversion, tell us to “Lo, go here or there” or “go to the desert to find Christ”? He never did. Nor did Paul ever claim to be Christ. He never did say or claim anything like that, but Paul taught all to seek and obtain the character qualities of Christ. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance, against such there is no law” (Galatians 5:22). “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit….That the righteousness of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit….For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. BECAUSE THE CARNAL MIND IS HOSTILE TO GOD; FOR IT IS NOT SUBJECT TO THE LAW OF GOD, NEITHER INDEED CAN BE” (Romans 8:1,4,6,7). If Paul teaches us anything, he teaches us that we can only keep the Law with Christ dwelling in us. How is that a false teaching? You say that Christ commanded obedience to the Law even after His resurrection, which is true, but you don’t understand the concept of the Law being nailed to the cross. The Law is nailed to the cross, not to make the Law void, but the Law is nailed to the cross to illuminate for all time our transgressions of the Law that crucified Christ. Christ’s suffering death for us on the cross reveals the reality of what happens to a person who separates himself from the Lifegiver and breaks His Holy Law. That’s why Paul was inspired of God to declare: “Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body” (2 Corinthians 4:10). It is not Paul’s words that are false, but Jason Hommel’s. How can you say that Paul is false prophet and a total hypocrite? Do you keep the Law that Christ commanded us to keep? Are you without sin? How can you throw the first stone (and a bunch more) at Paul, if you are a sinner who sometimes breaks God’s Law? Doesn’t that make you the total hypocrite?

    1. I really think you need to read the words of Jesus again: This time, note, Jesus warns of both “false Christs” and “false prophets”. Verse 24.

23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.

So, it is my argument that Paul saw a “false Christ” appear to him on the road to Damascus in the desert, and later in private, and that Paul is the “false prophet” and “false apostle”.

You are right. I never did claim that Paul claimed to be Christ. You clarifying that, does not refute my point.

Regarding the visitation to Paul, yes, we are commanded to “not go forth” and we are also commanded to “believe it not”, as stated at the end of verse 26.

There are no recounts or events where Paul tells this story to any of the Apostles, no commentary on it by any of the Apostles.

There is, however, something close: 1 John 4:2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:

3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

Paul, in his accounts, saw a light, and heard a voice.

      1. “Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them” (Matthew 7:20). Tell us what are the bad fruits of Paul so that we may know that he is a “false apostle” and “false prophet”, otherwise, it your opinion only and you have no proof that a “false Christ” appeared to Paul. If Paul had thought that Jesus had not come in the flesh, he would not have advocated, “Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body” (2 Corinthians 4:10)

  17. Jason, I have always known you to promote sound money and appreciate your teachings on that. I would like to encourage you to continue to search for sound context when attempting to discern and teach the Truth of our Lord. If I read some words of Jesus for 3 days straight, and you read the same words of Jesus for 3 days straight, would it be safe to say that it doesn’t matter what those words personally mean to me or personally mean to you, as much as that which actually matters, which is the actual Truth that is being spoken by God, in context? I bet you will agree that if you get your teachings to us wrong, the stakes (eternal consequences) are higher for you when speaking for God, than if you are teaching us about money.
    James 3:1 NASB
[1] Let not many of you become teachers, my brethren, knowing that as such we will incur a stricter judgment.

  18. I don’t know what authority this random “jesuswordsonly” site has but it is interesting to note that the Biblical canon which collected all of Jesus’ words was organized by men whose entire understanding of Christianity was based on the Pauline letters. How could you you get Jesus’ pure words from a supposedly poisoned well such as that? Not to mention Christendom accepts the canon, as it has been organized since at least the Council of Nicaea, to be divinely inspired. What would be God’s purpose in having half of his only revelation tainted with false prophecy? Writing nonsense like this is sure to garner a huge response, and lose many who have followed you through the years – lost out of frustration and exasperation if nothing else. It seem like the act of someone with a martyr complex.

    1. Amen! Thank you for articulating the larger issue. I believe Jason is an intellect and truth seeker but he has gone down the wrong path in seeing the trees without the forest.. semantics without proper context, missing the intent that is there and drawing inference that isn’t intended..

  19. Acts 5:34-39

34 But a Pharisee named Gamaliel, a teacher of the law, who was honored by all the people, stood up in the Sanhedrin and ordered that the men be put outside for a little while. 35 Then he addressed the Sanhedrin: “Men of Israel, consider carefully what you intend to do to these men. 36 Some time ago Theudas appeared, claiming to be somebody, and about four hundred men rallied to him. He was killed, all his followers were dispersed, and it all came to nothing. 37 After him, Judas the Galilean appeared in the days of the census and led a band of people in revolt. He too was killed, and all his followers were scattered. 38 Therefore, in the present case I advise you: Leave these men alone! Let them go! For if their purpose or activity is of human origin, it will fail. 39 But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God.”

Paul’s teachings are still being taught in the church today almost two thousand years later, Paul gave God all of the glory thus proving that this vision was from God, not Satan.

  20. Thank you Jason and all the other commentators for this interesting discussion.
Jason, do you keep the Seventh day sabbath found in the law?
Qu: If Paul’s writings are incorrect what does this say about the NT canon? How can it be the inspired “word of g_d”? If it’s not inspired by g_d, then what about the Gospels and other letters?

  21. I struggled for 30 years trying to understand why their were such obvious differences between Our Lord’s Teaching and Paul’s.
Finally I discovered why there were these differences. 2Timothy 2:15 –
    2 Timothy 2:15 KJV
[15] Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

RIGHTLY DIVIDING IS THE KEY! Jesus came to fulfill prophecy concerning The MESSIAH FOR ISRAEL. JESUS HIMSELF didn’t have anything to do with Gentiles except on a couple of rare occasions and those occasions pointed to the relationship that gentiles would have with Jews during the Millennial Kingdom on earth.
RIGHTLY DIVIDING MEANS dividing the dispensational programs of the Kingdom program (Jews ruling the earth with Jesus which is supported by all the prophets through the Old Testament UP TO AND INCLUDING THE FOUR GOSPELS (which essentially were totally for and to the Jews… NOT CHRISTIANS) and then also including from the book of HEBREWS THROUGH TO THE BOOK OF REVELATION!
Only Paul’s books (from Acts chapter 8 through to the book of Philemon) deal with “Christians” who are called out to form “the body of Christ!” This Dispensation we are in now is the Dispensation of GRACE which is totally different than the Kingdom Dispensation but most Christians have no idea about the incredible differences that are essential to know if understanding is to be in the believer regarding the whole book of the Bible.
2Timothy 3:16-17 by Paul goes on to tell us that [16] All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: [17] That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. So that tells us that all the Bible has been inspired by God for the things mentioned validating … ALL SCRIPTURE including Paul’s epistles BUT the previous verse 2:15 teaches us that we have to make a division between the Old Testament MEANT FOR THE JEWS AND ISRAEL NOT FOR CHRISTIANS. Jesus Himself said he came for the nation of Israel to be their king. He is not my king or my messiah but He is my Lord and Saviour and none of the Old Testament saints are included in the Body of Christ as none of the New Testament saints are included in the promises laid out for Israel or the Jews! The Grace (New Testament saints) believers are destined for ruling in the Heavenlies NOT EARTH and the Law (Old Testament or KINGDOM SAINTS-Jews and their proselytes) believing Jews are destined to rule on Earth.. not Heaven. I’ve been in over a dozen different DENOMINATIONAL churches over 39 years and none of the pastors could explain these differences to a true student of the Bible and so we stopped going because none of the pastors understood what they were teaching their congregations. Nothing but confusion because they tried to include Old Testament doctrine FOR THE JEWS AND ISRAEL ONLY to today’s Christians. You cannot do that because salvation doctrine between the two testaments is totally different! Yes it is! Old Testament includes over 600 laws that have to be followed including water baptism etc. etc. etc.!
Salvation doctrine in the Pauline gospels teaches that all that is needed for eternal salvation is faith (complete trust and belief) in the atoning blood of Christ on the cross for you and me! That’s it! No water baptism, no tithing, no more prophets etc. etc. etc!
If one has the desire to know more and understand more (I’m thinking sadly that there won’t be many who will look into this) there are VERY GOOD MATERIALS TO ACCESS through the internet and I’ll give a couple of names and ministries to check out.
-The late Pastor KEITH BLADES left an astonishing legacy of recorded videos and tapes that are exceptional in their teaching of 2Tim2:15 and RIGHT DIVISION. His site is
ENJOYTHEBIBLE.ORG and their are lots of materials available to learn from.
-PASTOR ROBERT BREAKER also has a YouTube site and is a very good teacher as well.
-Aaron Grace ministeries -Youtube also is a great site.
-Bible study with Phil Berry on YouTube as well is fantastic!
I hope any who are interested will check these out. In Christ!

    1. To Michael Almon
      John 10:16
16 I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd.

There is only one fold not two

      1. Your verses pertain to exactly what I said about Jesus dealing with the gentile woman and the centurion. That gold is the Millennial Kingdom which includes gentiles. Hebrews tells us there was more than one church as church simply means an assembly of believers. The New Testament church (Body of Christ) is an assembly of believers that was not included in any prophecies but was hidden in the mind of god until the resurrected and glorified Jesus reached down and saved the worst offender against His Jewish people… Paul and in doing so The Lord chose to make the most incredible gesture of His Grace to the most incredible enemy of Christ. As the Bible says if God had of foretold of this church-Body of Christ Satan never would have crucified him.

    2. Huge problem today is people not seeing the distinction between the kingdom of God and the kingdom of heaven

Also there is always a wobble of time as each dispensation of change proceeds

  22. Matthew 16:18
18 And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Jesus started the Church before the Bible was established. Therefore, the bible came out of the church, not the church out of the bible. If Paul was a false prophet, whose teachings are still taught in the church today, then the gates of hell did prevail over the church and this would also prove Jesus to be a false prophet.

    1. Paul’s inclusion in the Bible, as a false prophet, fulfills the Bible, specifically the following:
      Deuteronomy 13
13 [a]If a prophet, or one who foretells by dreams, appears among you and announces to you a sign or wonder, 2 and if the sign or wonder spoken of takes place, and the prophet says, “Let us follow other gods” (gods you have not known) “and let us worship them,” 3 you must not listen to the words of that prophet or dreamer. The Lord your God is testing you to find out whether you love him with all your heart and with all your soul. 4 It is the Lord your God you must follow, and him you must revere. Keep his commands and obey him; serve him and hold fast to him.

      1. I actually see this fulfilled in Revelation 13 and the land beast also known as the false prophet as being apostate Israel

        Rev 13:13-15
13 And it performed great signs, even causing fire to come down from heaven to the earth in full view of the people. 14 Because of the signs it was given power to perform on behalf of the first beast, it deceived the inhabitants of the earth. It ordered them to set up an image in honor of the beast who was wounded by the sword and yet lived. 15 The second beast was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that the image could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed.

  23. Acts 24:14
14 However, I admit that I worship the God of our ancestors as a follower of the Way, which they call a sect. I believe everything that is in accordance with the Law and that is written in the Prophets.

Paul believed in everything in accordance with the law. Paul knew that Jesus didn’t abolish the law but that Jesus fulfilled the law. Paul understood that the Jews before the cross were saved by grace through faith in a future Messiah and that the law never saved anyone as they were not saved by works but by grace. Paul also understood that the law was bondage to the unbelieving Jews. This is why all Israel can’t be saved only true Israel, the church, can all be saved.

Some believe that Paul stated that the law wasn’t important or should be abolished and that Paul introduced his own law. This is not true. When the Jewish Leaders brought Paul up before Felix, Festus and King Agrippa, no one could prove that Paul did anything wrong regarding the law.

The problem here is that Paul didn’t divert them to other Gods this was a warning against false prophets promoting other religions

  25. Jason,

As an Orthodox Christian, I will pray for you. It is clear you are sincere, but just as equally clear (to me) that you have been deceived about this.

As a previous writer noted, the bible came out of the church and was unanimously approved by the various councils through the action and blessing of the Holy Spirit.

The main problem with Protestantism/ Evangelical churches is the lack of context, the rejection of tradition, both small ‘t’ and capital ‘T’ tradition. This is another issue for another time but it does inform here as well.

How can anyone accept the Gospels and reject Paul’s letter which were all seen and approved by the ONE unified church from the very beginning as inspired by the Holy Spirit and worthy to be read? The scriptures are not a buffet where you can pick and chose what to believe but a unified message from God to us all.

Yes, there are seeming discrepancies in what Paul says but I urge you to go study the commentaries from the Orthodox and Catholic churches that deal with each of these issues you have raised. The church has also already dealt with all the heresies which we see crop up time and time again usually under new names.

Please do not let arrogance, or pride, keep you from continuing to seek the truth, which means keeping open the possibility that you can be wrong in this. Humility is an important virtue in the quest for the Truth.

    All the best,
    Your in Christ,
    Greg

  26. In Matthew 7:20, it says, “By their fruits you shall know them.” So millions, upon millions, upon millions, of people have been saved by the teachings of Paul. They have come out of the gutters of life and accepted the Lord as the Messiah. All of the Paul Bashers that I know have converted ZERO to the Messiah. In addition, Peter, hand picked by the Messiah, filled with the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, tells us in 2 Peter 3:15-17, “2Pe 3:15  And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;
2Pe 3:16  As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
2Pe 3:17  Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness. ”
So Peter, full of the Holy Spirit, tells us that Paul is a good guy. Paul has brought millions to the Lord. Paul Bashers do NOT have the Holy Spirit and have brought ZERO to the Lord. And Peter is telling YOU to watch so that you are not a false teacher. There is another issue, in 1 John 4:20 we are told, “1Jn 4:20  If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? ” Your article has a strong tinge of anger and hostility. This puts you at odds with Scripture. I have found this same attitude with every Paul Basher I have ever seen.
I recommend you read, and pay heed to, 2 Chronicles 7:14, which says, “2Ch 7:14  If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. ” So you need to HUMBLE yourself, PRAY, SEEK HIS face, and TURN FROM YOUR WICKED WAYS.
I have a choice. Accept your bashing of Paul, or follow the words of Peter. I choose Peter. He shows love and compassion for Paul. You do not.

  27. Jason, just read through your points. Responding to a couple “Matthew 24:23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.” Paul was testifying to the event where the glorified Christ confronted him on the road to Damascus. The “here is Christ or there” reference is to people saying Christ is on the earth here or there. This verse does not make the point that Paul is a false apostle.

“Again, Paul wasn’t saying Christ was in the desert. He was just recounting His encounter with Christ.

Paul claimed he saw Jesus in the Desert, on the road to Damascus. Acts 9:1-19, Acts 22:6-21, Acts 26:12-18 (Doesn’t make the point from Matthew 24:23-26)
Paul claimed he received private revelations from Jesus, as “in the secret chambers”. Galatians 1:11-17, Acts 26:16 Response: Paul was an apostle and God gave him special insights to the extent that in 2 Corinthians 12:7-10 Paul states that because of “the abundance of the revelations” God gave him a thorn in the flesh lest he should be exalted above measure. Elsewhere, Peter highlights Paul’s wisdom when he states “even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him…” I find it interesting that Peter further states of Paul’s writings that there are “some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they also do the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.” (2 Peter 3:15,16)
Paul claimed to be an apostle, based on “great signs and wonders”. Acts 15:12, 2 Corinthians 12:12 (Paul manifested these “signs of an apostle” since he was an apostle.)
There is a lot more, of course, as follows.

Jesus warned about the Pharisees. Paul was a pharisee.

Jesus warned about blind guides. Paul was literally blinded on the road to Damascus. (This is a funny application of what happened to Paul on the road to Damascus)

Jesus warned about hypocrities. Paul is a hypocrite, thus making him spiritually blind as well. (I have no idea where you get this. Paul was not a hypocrite)

Jesus warned about people who turn people away from the Law. Paul’s essential message is that we don’t need to obey the law. (Paul simply made the point that we are not justified on the basis of the law, human merit, and that we could not measure up to its demands. The law could not save us, but he said the “law was good, our schoolmaster, he “had not known sin but by the law, which is “holy, and the commandment holy, and just and good.” (Basically all of Galatians, Romans 7:12) Jason, if you believe we are saved by keeping the law, by human merit, then you do not understand the gospel. James makes the point “whoever keeps the whole law, yet offends in one point, he is guilty of all.” (James 2:10)

(Paul does not make men wearing short hair a “command” and the other things are not “commands” in the sense of God’s commands. They have to do with roles of men and women and church issues.)

Anyway, Jason, I certainly hope that your hope in its entirety is in Jesus Christ with nothing to do with any perceived personal merit (e.g. keeping the law) that you feel you have. Our hope for salvation must be fully in the finished work of Christ on the cross. When we add works to receiving or retaining salvation, we move from grace to works — “a little leaven leavens the whole loaf” (Galatians 5:9) The Christian walk is about being filled with the Holy Spirit as Jesus said, “without Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5) We receive Christ by faith and we walk by faith (not by a focus on the law), as it states “Are you so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are you now made perfect by the flesh?” Take care. The law could not save us, but he said the “law was good.” He referred to it as our schoolmaster, pointing us to God’s solution about our sinful state. Paul said the law’s purpose was to expose our sin. He said “I had not known sin but by the law, which is “holy, and the commandment holy, and just and good.” Romans 7:12 and essentially all of Galatians make that point. On a personal note, Jason, if you believe we are saved by keeping the law, by human merit, then you do not understand the gospel. James makes the point “whoever keeps the whole law, yet offends in one point, he is guilty of all.” (James 2:10)

  30. To Jason Hommel and the many confused commentators on this ‘blog,’ true and obedient believers excepted:

Jason, I shall preface what I am about to write with Christian love for your soul and the godly hope you recant the abominations you have set in print which may mislead many and send them far astray and for which errors you will be held eternally responsible.

You could not be more wrong in your blasphemous proposition regarding your attack on the person of Paul as an Apostle, inspired of God, which the Bible in the original Attic (giving birth to Koine, the Greek dialect of the NT) Greek states he most certainly is and the legitimacy of Paul’s writings, for he wrote most of the New Testament in prison before being martyred for his love of the Lord Jesus Christ and the true believers who followed him.

On that subject, can you read the Greek of the New Testament? Are you at least conversant with the ancient classical languages of which Koine Greek is one? I can and am.

I do not insert this bit of trivia to brag. I tell you this to establish credibility of understanding of New Testament Scripture. I am certain of what the original texts say because I can read them. I do not form my opinions on false information from Google searches or personal bias or corrupted Bible versions, as you, Jason, have done. You may as well read the comics and quote from them as quote from the viciously false ESV. Those failings are clearly apparent in many of the posts on this blog and it contributes to proving the falsity of the comments made. There are those who are real students of Scripture and then there are the pretenders who promulgate the “fables.”

I insert this information to establish you must have credible knowledge concerning your subject matter or else your ‘opinions’ are absolutely worthless because they are not based on facts or sound logic and context.

I have been a Christian physician and Bible scholar for 54 years and rarely have I read such tripe as you, Jason, and many of those you have deceived have written. Ordinarily, your writing is good and accurate, such as your scholarly dissertation on the climate hoax. But something has gone badly astray. Clearly, you have either been led grievously amiss by the wiles of the devil (do you really understand how wily and powerful our condemned adversary, Lucifer, is?) or you are not on saved ground to begin with, so vile is your premise.

In attacking Paul’s doctrine, which is essentially what you are doing by calling him a “fraud,” you are attacking the writings, the very Word of God Himself for Paul was tasked with writing God’s Mind and messages and instructions to we who have accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as our Saviour through His atoning blood on the cross at Golgotha. God wrote His Word through divinely inspired persons, Paul among others. The Bible is a unified structure, all parts of it “work together.” It is like a perfect machine for the propagation of ultimate truth written by God through His earlier chosen and trusted ones to proclaim His truth, the human writers and scribes involved being therefore divinely inspired.

We are told explicitly to not add to the contents of the Bible, not to remove, and not to change anything in it. See Deut. 4:2, “Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish [ought] from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.” Deut. 12:32, “What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it,” and Rev. 22:18 – 19, “For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and [from] the things which are written in this book.”

First, you err massively in using the ESV. I note others of you use various of the plethora of corrupt “new translations” which are not actually translations at all but paraphrases full of clever errors. Did you ever wonder where these corruptions came from? Have you knowledge of Westcott and Hort, the two God-hating pretenders who claimed the “older” texts were more accurate than the Textus Receptus? Well, older doesn’t mean accurate, especially when you know the background of these two wicked men. Don’t take my word for it. Check the following and particularly watch the YouTube video in its entirety. These phony Bibles are the conception of the New World Order and are designed to mislead and confuse you, thereby paving the way for your entry into the kingdom of the antichrist. Don’t believe that? Check the linked information below:

As a physician, I must know exactly what I am doing in order to reach a correct diagnosis and thereby inform successful treatment if possible. I must weigh carefully all the known truths or facts and above all, I must make my diagnosis fit those facts and not the facts my biased diagnosis. I am afraid this analogy represents what you have done.

We are warned many times in Holy Scripture of the fact that in the last days “perilous times shall come.” See II Tim. 3. We are told scoffers will proliferate, false teachers, those telling lies and fables, and all manner of evil. Read II Tim. 3, 1 – 5, “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.”

II Tim. 4:1 – 4 states without equivocation, “I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”

Paul (Previously Saul of Tarsus with a terrible reputation for vexing and persecuting Christians in the early days of the church) started out as we mortals all start out, a rank AND LOST sinner, perhaps a particularly vicious one although we know a single sin will keep one out of Heaven. (Jas. 2:10, “For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.” James said this, not Paul.) He, now Paul after his obvious conversion, declared himself the “chief of sinners,” so great was his disgust at what in his unsaved state he had done, in I Tim. 1:15, “This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.” Prior to his conversion, he was a major persecutor of Christians. But something very pivotal happened to him on the road to Damascus. The Lord spoke to him with such omnipotent force that he, a hardened anti-Christian, fell on his face and immediately acknowledged the Lordship of Christ, Whom he had persecuted, after Jesus had asked him why. He repented of his sins.

Notice particularly Acts 9:15, “But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:”

Clearly this ties in with John 14:6 and Acts 12:4, respectively, “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” and “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

You claim, Paul “supposedly got the gospel right from a brief appearance by a vision . . .” Please tell us how long did the thief on the cross of whom Jesus said, “Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise.” (Luke 23:43) have to convert from sinner to saved?

Have you, Jason, also repudiated the fact God is omnipotent and with Him all things are possible? “But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.” (Matt. 19:26) Did “fraud” Paul say that? Well, did he?

Do you believe Jesus speaks the truth? Ps. 33:4 says, “For the word of the LORD ‭is‭ right; and all his works ‭are done‭ in truth.‭” Did Paul say this, Jason?

The truth is exactly that, truth. Is it not a peculiar coincidence that Paul whom you call a fraud called the behaviour of this day in which we live, 2,000 years later, so accurately? Do you think that is a coincidence? No, it is not a coincidence unless you twist the truth of the Word and take it out of context. It is the TRUTH and truth always stands on its own two legs, sir.

You state succinctly near the end of your diatribe, “So that’s a brief summary of why I cannot believe Paul is a true Apostle. But I think it really comes down to the fact that I’m commanded to not believe him.” Do you really think you are credible presenting a “brief summary” on a topic such as this with eternal consequences. That statement is the confused utterance of a distressed soul standing on the sand instead of the Rock. To treat such a profound question so superficially speaks volumes about just who you really are. You “think?” I would submit that you had better have far more substantial evidence and more lucid reasoning than you have here displayed. That statement in my opinion calls into question your whole thesis and not that only but your ability to reason and think.

“Not commanded” to believe him? Thou fool. You are, if you take upon yourself the banner of “Christian,” to believe him. And that means to follow Him.

The Bible is replete with verses instructing true Christians to follow Him. Obviously, to follow Him you would have to believe Him, no?

The following were also NOT written by Paul, incidentally:

Matt. 16:24, “Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any [man] will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.”

John 8:12, “Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”

Matt. 7:21 – 23, “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”

Jason, can you honestly say you are doing the will of the Father which is in heaven?

I John 2:3 – 4, “And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.”

I could go on for a very long time rebutting your ridiculous and illogical and totally erroneous beliefs predicated upon nothing but sophistry but I think you should have by now gotten the picture.

What you and your “followers” are essentially involved in is described in Heb. 6:6. You are “crucify(ing) to themselves (yourselves) the Son of God afresh, and put(ting) Him to an open shame.” (Changes mine for grammatical context correctness.)

I would not take the above lightly and yes, Paul, DID write it.

One of the unfortunate side effects of your vile screed is that you have opened the Pandora’s Box of fellow error-endowed individuals.

Take “Steve” for example. He states the following, “ Of course Paul is a Total Fraud
Paul taught of a vindictive punishing GOD whereas Jesus taught GOD is Love”

Absent the grammatical and punctuation errors followed by even more non-sensical lunacy about Yoga (an occult practise) and spines which more properly belongs in a heathen’s library, he opines “Jesus taught GOD is love.” Well, yes, God is indeed love or else there would be a very empty Heaven and a hell full to overflowing. However, this is taking the Bible’s teaching selectively, and demonstrates crass ignorance of the necessity of taking the WHOLE of Scripture IN CONTEXT which is a way of attempting to deceive both yourself and others. Recall in II Pet. 1:20 – 21 it states this, “Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.”

And I would remind you yet again, this was written by Peter, not Paul!

What I mean by this is that God (Jesus) has many characters. When on earth, Jesus healed the sick, taught the truth of God, endured the persecution of sinners whom he could have vaporized instantaneously and ultimately died on the cross for the sins of whomever would accept His atoning work as THE way of salvation. However, we also know that God says in Deut. 32:35, “To me [belongeth] vengeance, and recompence; their foot shall slide in [due] time: for the day of their calamity [is] at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste.”

Very interestingly, this verse is the opening verse in Jonathan Edwards’ very well-known sermon, “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God,” preached at Enfield, Connecticut in 1741 and credited with beginning a period of great revival in the original 13 Colonies. It is the verse upon which this powerful message of God is based. This sermon is absolutely Biblically accurate and is considered the most important sermon ever preached on American soil. Interestingly, Edwards’ style of preaching was not to shout and threaten but to speak in a low, measured style, point by point, simply quoting the virtues of God, the one most pertinent to a gospel preaching being God’s hatred of sin which must be expunged if one is to enter the sinless place called Heaven. He made it quite clear that God did not hate sinners – no, He loved them so much He sent His only begotten Son to die for all who would accept the free gift of salvation – free to the sinner but of inestimable cost to God – but there would be “zero tolerance” of any unforgiven sin. There is no sin permitted in Heaven so if you expect to land there when you shuffle off this mortal coil, you had better follow John 14:6.

Edwards’ sermon, if you have not heard it, may be heard – and seen – in period dress by Ralph Green on YouTube at the following link. It is well worth listening to, particularly if you have doubts about your eternal security or have never made the eternity-changing decision of coming to Jesus to accept His gracious gift of salvation, which has eternal consequences.

Don’t like that verse? Well, let’s consider Deut. 28:20, “The LORD shall send upon thee cursing, vexation, and rebuke, in all that thou settest thine hand unto for to do, until thou be destroyed, and until thou perish quickly; because of the wickedness of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsaken me.”

So, yes, God IS love. But he is also wrath against the unrighteous and about that there is no doubt.

Jason, you would be most wise to listen to your good friend, Hank Bailey in Tulsa, a former police officer who vehemently disagrees with you. Thinking about it, law enforcement and medical practise have much in common. Those investigating a crime (disease) must objectively gather the facts without personal bias (history), form a list of possible suspects (diagnoses) and come to an accurate and rational conclusion so that justice (treatment) can be applied. This you have not done.

Listen to him and all of those who have read your ungodly missive do likewise and come to your senses in this matter. Never mind what mortal man says in support of your false thesis. The One to Whom you must ultimately plead your case is the Lord God Almighty, either at the Judgment Seat of the Lamb IF in fact you are truly saved or ultimately and hopelessly at the Great White Throne Judgment.

Choose wisely. Life is short, eternity sure.

Think this is harsh? You have not seen “harsh” yet and I sincerely hope none of you who fall under this word ever do.

    Yours in Christ Jesus,

    Fenwick Charters, M.D.

  31. With the discovery and consequent research of the “Dead Sea Scrolls”, much light has been shed on the happenings and circumstances of the 1st Century. Particularly, the “Habakkuk Commentary” contains something extraordinarily similar to the chronicle of Acts, Josephus and early Christian historians. A single protagonist, the “Teacher of Righteousness”, has the same characteristics and virtues associated with James, the brother of Jesus. Like James, the “Teacher” was the acknowledged leader of a sectarian religious community whose members where “zealous for the Law”. And like James, the “Teacher” had to contend with two quite separate and distinct adversaries.
One of those was dubbed the “Liar”, an outsider who was admitted to the community, then turned renegade, quarreled with the “Teacher” and hijacked part of the community’s doctrine and membership. According to the Habakkuk Commentary, the “Liar” did not listen to the word received by the Teacher of Righteousness from the mouth of God. The text states that the Liar footed the Law in the midst of the whole congregation. He led people astray and raised a congregation on deceit. These are precisely the transgressions of which Paul is accused in Acts, transgressions which lead, at the end of Acts, to the attempt on his own life.
In Acts 21:17, Paul arrives in Jerusalem and meets with James and all of the elders. Acts 21:20 “…You see brother, how many thousands of Jew have believed, and all of them are zealous for the Law. They have been informed that you teach all the Jews who lived among the Gentiles to turn away form Moses, telling them not to circumcise their children or live according to our customs. What shall we do? They will certainly hear that you have come. So do what we tell you. ”
Paul is told to join in a purification ritual to show that these accusations are untrue and that he himself is living in obedience to the Law. Paul does not object and does what he is told.
In his letters, he is quite adamant regarding his relationship with the Jerusalem hierarchy, calling them “Super Apostles” and “those in Jerusalem”. He boasts of how he “opposed Peter to his face” (Galatians 2:11). He goes on to accuse Peter of hypocrisy.
So Jason, there is a lot to back you up, including Paul’s own words!

  32. Jason,
I am going to keep this real simple – you are applying far to much intellect at the expense of common sense. I do think you are a truth seeker and became challenged on this because you came across seemingly sound doctrine that you in YOUR knowledge and YOUR understanding have not been able to refute. Keep studying the WHOLE scriptures and PRAY our GREAT and AWESOME God will help you find the key of discernment.

    1. When you find arguments you can’t refute, you are supposed to accept them. That’s how it works when you are a seeker of truth. Thank you for seeing half of the truth about that. But that’s how it works for me. I know it does not work that way for many people.

  33. The real truth about God/Jesus and the Bible:
It’s much easier to read from a computer monitor, but is available on Amazon.

  34. I am more inclined to believe Jason Hommel is a fraud. Here is the thing. The most important decision the church made in the first century, in Acts 15, was largely based on Paul and his testimony, backed up by Peter. The early church accepted Paul as an apostle and proved it in many ways. He showed himself to be an apostle (one sent) by planting more 1st century churches than any other apostle, and possibly as many as all the rest combined. His writings were accepted by the early church as authoritative, including by the immediate replacements of the apostles as they were killed. So now, in his arrogance, Jason Hommel decides the 1st century church…the church that knew what they were willing to die for…was wrong by receiving Paul – the greatest missionary of all times – as a fraud. Also, the rest of the apostles backed up the theology of Paul in their works. May as well throw out the entire of scripture and become a Muslim as take that position.

    1. I agree with what you say about Paul Donald but I don’t think that Jason is a fraud but only misguided and wrong about Paul

    2. I did not decide the early Church was wrong for receiving Paul. First, you need to show that the early Church did receive Paul.
Instead, I did not even decide the early Church was right for rejecting Paul. Paul admitted that all of Asia rejectd him, while he was still alive. And I note that it was Jesus, in Acts 2, who commended the Church of Ephesus for rejecting false apostles, and I note that Jesus, in Revelation 2, had some things against the Churches who taught Paul’s doctrine that it was ok to eat foods sacrificed to idols. https://revealingfraud.com/2019/07/religion/paul-is-exposed-in-revelation-2-and-acts-15/ Furthermore, Jude completely rejects Paul, and exposes and rebukes Paul: https://revealingfraud.com/2019/08/religion/jude-exposes-and-refutes-paul/

      1. I think you mean revelation 2 not Acts 2

Peter Timothy and Luke and barnabus all received Paul

Jesus names people in revelation don’t you think that he would name Paul by name especially that his name is so huge within the church if Paul was a false prophet

You hang onto such minor things that are not solid proof but reject all of the concrete proof in the bible

There was another reply from my site to you

          1. Paul warned Ephesians of deceives and told them to put on the whole armour of god Paul helped teach them to reject false teachers

Why do you assume Jesus was was talking Paul in revelation wouldn’t he of used Paul’s name like He named others?

Paul didn’t say that all Asia turned away from him he said that his helpers left him

  35. In an online article by a Christian brother, Luke Mounsey, the following article was written, “Warnings About Changing the Bible.” It was penned in 2009, 10 years ago, but is more applicable today than ever. Most assuredly, it is a blunt assessment of the error recently promulgated here on this site in the form of the utterly baseless and vicious attack on Paul and therefore foundational truths in the Word of God and hence, God Himself in consideration of what He instructs us in John 1:1, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

Sinner friend, take note, God will not always strive with you. (Gen. 6:3) Come to Him through Jesus the Son – and do it now for ye know not how long ye have. ” . . . behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” (II Cor. 6:2)

“Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.”
    — Matt. 24:35

“In Psalm 12:7, God promised to preserve His Word from “this GENERATION for ever.” Preservation served to prevent accidental corruption of the text during transmission. Also, this divine preservation counters the deliberate, concentrated war on the Bible by Satan and his agents. This conspiracy to pervert the Word of God is world wide, and dates to the most ancient of times. The Word has been under attack since the serpent deceived Eve. The enemy of mankind, knowing that the scriptures lead to salvation, causes man to doubt the Bible, reject the Bible, and even alter the Bible. The corruptions are as numerous as the heresies which spawned them. God has strengthened and purified His Word, that it may stand against this assault. Martin Luther once said, “The Bible is like a lion; it does not need to be defended; just let it loose and it will defend itself.” God has preserved His Word, and it can defend itself. Despite the opposition of devil and man, God’s Word remains pure, inspired, and inerrant. How do we know that heretics have attempted to change the Word of God? God has given us warning about heretics bringing perversions of the gospel.1 The Lord takes His Word very seriously. He has preserved it for us. He has commanded us not to change it in any way. He has also given us warning about those who alter it, and to those who alter it.

Thou Shalt Not Change My Word

God has commanded us to not change His Word. As He is the author, He holds the eternal copyright. He allows us, nay, commands us, to copy and spread His Word to the entire world. However, He strictly forbids the addition or removal of anything from His Word.

“Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.” (Deuteronomy 4:2)

If you add to His Words, you make yourself a liar: “Add thou not unto [God’s] words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.” (Proverbs 30:6) Prohibition on altering God’s Word is not limited to the Old Testament. The closing verses of the New Testament contain a very strong warning against tampering with God’s Word:

“For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
    — Rev. 22:18 – 19

God has a very high opinion of His Word. He inspired it perfectly, and He forbids us from polluting it by adding to or subtracting from it.

    Warnings about Corrupters

To keep us from accepting a counterfeit Bible, God has warned us of those who change it. The primary culprits include Satan, hardened sinners, heretics, false prophets, false teachers, and false apostles, along with their followers (ignorant as they may be). The war on the Word of God began with the devil in the Garden of Eden.

“And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
    — Gen. 2:16 – 17

The old serpent challenged this command, saying “Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?” (Gen. 3:1). Calling God a liar, he removed SOME of His Words: “Ye shall not surely die:” (Gen. 3:4). Next, Satan added his lie to the Word: “For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.” (Gen. 3:5). The devil cannot touch the Word of God without corrupting something. When he was tempting the Lord Jesus Christ, he misquoted Ps. 91:11,12. Note the following changes.

    God’s truth: Ps. 91:11 – 12

    11. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
    12. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

    Satan’s perversion: Luke 4:10,11

    10. For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee:
    11. And in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

The dragon REMOVES “in all thy ways” and ADDS “at any time.” These corruptions give the reader the impression that we can do things that we know are foolish, and the Lord will always get us out of it. Jesus Christ is not deceived, and responds with “Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.” (Luke 4:12). It is the devil that takes the Word of God out of the heart, lest the sinner be saved. “…then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word…” (Luke 8:12). Satan has always sought to do away with the Word of God.

The devil is not alone in his attack on the Bible. His human agents are fast at work to change and discredit God’s Word. The Bible clearly exposes the human element in perversion of the Word, from the false prophets of old to the false teachers of today. We are strongly admonished to separate ourselves from these individuals and their message. (This does not mean that we are not to seek to bring them out of their error unto repentance and the true gospel. But we are not to have fellowship with them as Christians, but unbelievers.)

    Romans 1:21, 25

    21. Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
    25. Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

These people, having rejected God, have “changed the truth of God into a lie.” They are hardened sinners, who love their sin, who want nothing to do with God and His salvation. They go beyond rejecting the Word of God in their own lives. They want to change the Word, that they may be justified in their sins. Being convicted by scripture, but being hardened against God, they have pressed for legislation effectively banning the preaching of the convicting passages; passages which could lead to their salvation. This is done through “hate crimes” laws that forbid the “intimidation” of protected groups. These laws typically don’t ban specific Scriptures, but forbid the “offending” of Jews, Muslims, homosexuals, and other groups. If a member of a protected group is offended by the reading of Scripture, they can press charges, accusing the reader of a hate crime. They, being convicted by Scripture, fight the conviction of the Holy Spirit, and seek the conviction of the preacher.

Chief among those who alter the Word are Christ-rejecting Jews and homosexuals. Jewish groups have argued that the reading of Isaiah chapter 53 needs to be re-translated, because of its strong witness to Jesus as the Messiah. Some of these groups, including the American Interfaith Institute, are also insist that translators even remove so-called anti-Semitic passages from the Bible. Homosexual groups have protested reading of passages against their practices as ‘hate crimes.’ Some of these alterations are de facto perversions, the scripture remains intact but is ignored or outlawed, and some are outright mutilations of the text. However, the unregenerate man has no knowledge that the Bible is a spiritual Book, and that it cannot be changed by human hands and human decrees. “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” (I Cor. 2:14).

More crafty than the unsaved in their alteration of Scripture are the heretic and false prophet. Also known as false brethren, false teachers, and false apostles, these come in by stealth, professing themselves to be Christians. The heretic takes inspired Scripture, and “adjusts” it to match their own twisted teaching. The false prophet produces his own Scripture, conjuring up false dreams, false visions, and false words, and then stamps “Thus saith the Lord” on it as if it were the Word of God. The inspired apostle Paul warned of many, which “[handle] the word of God deceitfully” (II Cor. 4:2) and “which corrupt the word of God” (II Cor. 2:17). Paul reproved the Galatians for falling into “another gospel” (Gal. 1:6), a false gospel, and warned them of those who “pervert the gospel of Christ.” (Gal. 1:7). The apostle Peter gave a very blunt warning about false teachers bringing false words:

    II Pet. 2:1 – 3

    1. But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
    2. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
    3. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

The false teachers will come bearing “feigned words,” fake words, false words, words that appear to be the Word of God, but are not. Their words are but a perversion of the inspired writings. The motive? Covetousness! They lust after wealth, they lust after fame, they lust after followers, and they are willing to make a mockery of the Word of God to satisfy their lusts. Peter continues his warning against those who use “great swelling words of vanity” (carefully crafted lies) and the “lusts of the flesh” (II Pet. 2:18) to draw followers. We are repeatedly warned because many will get caught up in the deception. “…MANY shall follow their pernicious ways…” If these would take heed to the Word of the Lord, they wouldn’t fall for the deception. We are to “earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.” (Jude 1:3). The faith was given to us ONCE; God will not send another with a new faith that contradicts the old. If any preach another faith, they need to be corrected. The Bible makes it clear, that if someone comes in bearing an unscriptural doctrine, and won’t consent to correction by wholesome words (I Tim. 6:3), that person is to be rejected and expelled. “A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject;…” (Titus 3:10).

Therefore, the heretics produce their own version, or perversion, of God’s Word, in agreement with their heresy, to lead others astray. “Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.” (Acts 20:30). The Bible is full of warnings and examples of false teachers and false prophets corrupting the Word of God, and bringing forth “another gospel.” Therefore, it is correct to acknowledge that altered scriptures have been produced, and passed off as genuine. For example, the Jehovah’s Witnesses have produced their own Bible translation, which, among other perversions, renders, John 1:1 as “In the beginning the Word was, and the Word was with God, and the Word was a god.” Also, the Mormons have taken portions of the Bible, added more to it, and produced their own Bible, the Book of Mormon. The eight article of faith of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon) states: “We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God.” The telling sign of a false prophet is a prophecy that does not come to pass. If a prophet wasn’t 100% accurate, they were declared a false prophet, to be stoned under Mosaic law (Deut. 18:20 – 22). Have the apostles of old given us a false prophecy, in their warning of heretics perverting the Word of God? No, indeed history has confirmed them . . . Truly, alterations of the Bible text have been made. God has warned us, and it has come to pass. However, despite these attempted alterations, we still have God’s pure Word.

    Warning to the Corrupters

God gives a severe warning tho those who would tamper with His Word. He ends His holy Word with this warning:

    Rev. 22:18 – 19

    18. For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
    19. And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

For those who add to God’s Word, He will punish with the plagues of Revelation. However, those who take away from the word are threatened with removal from the book of life, literally the loss of their salvation. All which add to the Word are declared liars (Prov. 30:6). Jeremiah chapter 23 proclaims judgment on false prophets.

    Jer. 23:31 – 32, 39 – 40

    31. Behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that use their tongues, and say, He saith.
    32. Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the LORD, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the LORD.
    39. Therefore, behold, I, even I, will utterly forget you, and I will forsake you, and the city that I gave you and your fathers, and cast you out of my presence:
    40. And I will bring an everlasting reproach upon you, and a perpetual shame, which shall not be forgotten.

Therefore, if you are guilty of willfully changing God’s Word, be aware that He will punish you. Attempts to change, rewrite, outlaw, and destroy His Word will come to naught. God has kept His Word pure, your modifications are but a counterfeit. Repent of your deeds, and God will forgive you.

In conclusion, God’s Word is under attack. He has preserved His Word to thwart this attack. However, counterfeit gospels and counterfeit Bibles do exist, God having warned us in His Word of them. These forgeries have been produced by sinners and heretics, wanting to be justified for the error of their ways. God has threatened with the severest of judgments those who would dare alter alter His Word. God has preserved His Word, this is evidenced both in the original languages and in translations. The devil and his minions have produced their counterfeit words, and these are evident both in the originals and in translations. Despite Satan’s attacks, we have the preserved, inerrant Word of God today . . . ”

“The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.”
    –Ps. 12:6 – 8

“Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!”
    — Is. 5:20

“The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.”
    — Eccl. 1:9

“And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.”
    — Job 28:28

” The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.”

    1. Wow, the only thing bigger than his post is his ego.

No one has yet refuted anything you said with anything other than their “truth”, or as i like to call them, opinions.

      Keep it up Jason.

    1. If Paul is a false prophet then so is Jesus as Jesus stated that the gates of hell would not prevail over the church, obviously It did if Paul was a false

      1. Obviously not if there are those who see the truth even if few they may be.
        Matthew 7:13

        New King James Version
“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.

        King James Bible
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

By the very fact that the Pauline doctrines are so widely and broadly accepted makes me question it, not to mention all of the undeniable scriptures presented. Jason is by far not alone in this discovery. Also it might do good for many of you to do diligent research on how the canon (bible as we have it today) came about and whom influenced the decision of which books were accepted. How can so many of you say either agree with me or you are operating out of evil influence, misleading info, etc etc.
Jason is right to say that none of you have refuted the evidence/scripture he has put forth instead consistently continue to prove Paul by using Pauls own scriptures and the questionable 2 Peter. On the contrary we were warned by Christ himself of such difference messages that ones would come preaching under his name and to believe them not. Nobody can argue that Paul taught a different gospel than Jesus, not to mention many other things that he taught different than Christ, all the while seemingly failing to hardly ever quote ANY of JESUS’ teachings himself in his writings.

    2. To Jean-Claude:

Thank you, brother, for your contention for the faith. As you will be aware, I have written a number of responses to Jason Hommel, all of them falling on deaf ears.

I have already opined after being in the faith for over half a century that Christians do not think and write as Mr. Hommel has done. Neither do they usually prove so resistant to sound counselling.

As we know from John 4:24, “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” This Mr. Hommel is clearly not doing as his entire approach is focused on intellectualism that in this case is grievously in error.

Col. 2:8 says this, “Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.”

I would say this quite accurately describes what Mr. Hommel is into.

Many other Scriptures have been quoted from Genesis to Revelation but all by his continued evil writings appear to be of no relevance to Mr. Hommel.

Therefore, it is my conclusion that no real Christian, not even one with the the worst walk imaginable, would write to influence lost souls with lies and errors while at the same time professing Christianity. But are we not told as well in II Peter 3:3 -4, “Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation?” V. 10 is also of great note. “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.”

The phrase, “day of the Lord,” always speaks of destruction of evil and vain works when the Lord acts to judge.

If we look at MacDonald’s “Believers’ Bible Commentary” we read the following:

“But the day of the Lord will come. The day of the Lord refers to any period when God acts in judgment. It was used in the OT to describe any time when God punished evildoers and triumphed over His foes (Is. 2:12; 13:6, 9; Ez. 13:5; 30:3; Joel 1:15; 2:1, 11, 31; 3:14; Amos 5:18, 20; Obad. 15; Zeph. 1:7, 14; Zech. 14:1; Mal. 4:5). In the NT it is a period of time with various stages:
      1. It refers to the Tribulation, a seven-year period when God will judge unbelieving Israel (1 Thess. 5:2; 2 Thess. 2:2).
      2. It includes His return to earth when He will inflict vengeance on those who do not know God and who do not obey the gospel of the Lord Jesus (2 Thess. 1:7–10).
      3. It is used of the Millennium when Christ will rule the earth with a rod of iron (Acts 2:20).
      4. It refers to the final destruction of the heavens and the earth with fire. That is the meaning here in chapter 3.”

It is clear what God thinks of scoffers and what shall be the ultimate end of their evil works. As a degree of severity COMPARABLE TO Mr. Hommel’s blasphemy is seldom reached, I can conclude nil else but that he is masquerading as a Christian and is demon-possessed as I have advised him is my opinion. God knoweth with certainty altogether. But alas, his reply is always convoluted, illogical, non-sensical and sophist.

Here is another interesting way of looking at how one may know a given person has true salvation. Robert Zimmerman, better known as the incomparable Bob Dylan, received the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2016, the one and only occasion a musician and songwriter has won this premiere recognition. How, you might ask is this relevant?

Bob Dylan went through a period popularly known as his “Christian period” during which he became born again and during which he produced quite a number of songs declaring the singular holy nature of God, man’s absolute need of salvation and that salvation could not come through himself via works but ONLY by grace through faith alone in the atoning blood of Christ as of a Lamb without blemish and without spot (I Pet. 1:19, ““But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:”) as we are taught here and throughout the Word. Although his walk has been somewhat “irregular,” he has never railed against God through maligning His servants. We know from Scripture that once saved, always saved, if the salvation was genuine in the first place. See John 10:28, “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.” and I John 5:13, “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.”

I therefore believe the soul salvation of Bob Dylan was in fact genuine and for the following reasons also to be explained and to be analyzed.

For those who state what I have written is not so, that salvation can be lost and may quote Matt. 24:13 – 15, “But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:),” this clearly does not apply to salvation through faith on the basis of grace (Eph. 2:8 – 9), but to “The Time of Jacob’s Trouble,” or the Great Tribulation. Bro. Arthur C. Brown, a very godly brother and defender of the faith, long now gone to the Glory, had this to say about it, “’He that endureth to the end shall be saved.” The next verse in each case shows that this had to do, not with the Christian nor with the soul nor with this present age, but with the godly Jewish remnant in the coming Tribulation of unparalleled trials.” (“Help on Hard Verses” by A.C. Brown).

Only those who have true faith are be saved during the present Dispensation, “The Day of Grace.” Although saving faith may have lapses in a given blood-bought Christian, it always has the quality of permanence.

Anyway, Dylan during his period of hot fervor for the Lord wrote a number of very godly and to-the-point songs, among them, “You Gotta Serve Somebody.” He recognized that either we serve the living God or we serve His and our adversary, the devil. The song goes like this:

      Gotta Serve Somebody
      Written by: Bob Dylan

“You may be an ambassador to England or France
You may like to gamble, you might like to dance
You may be the heavyweight champion of the world
You may be a socialite with a long string of pearls.

But you’re gonna have to serve somebody, yes indeed
You’re gonna have to serve somebody
Well, it may be the devil or it may be the Lord
But you’re gonna have to serve somebody.

You might be a rock ’n’ roll addict prancing on the stage
You might have drugs at your command, women in a cage
You may be a businessman or some high-degree thief
They may call you Doctor or they may call you Chief.

But you’re gonna have to serve somebody, yes indeed
You’re gonna have to serve somebody
Well, it may be the devil or it may be the Lord
But you’re gonna have to serve somebody.

You may be a state trooper, you might be a young Turk
You may be the head of some big TV network
You may be rich or poor, you may be blind or lame
You may be living in another country under another name.

But you’re gonna have to serve somebody, yes indeed
You’re gonna have to serve somebody
Well, it may be the devil or it may be the Lord
But you’re gonna have to serve somebody.

You may be a construction worker working on a home
You may be living in a mansion or you might live in a dome
You might own guns and you might even own tanks
You might be somebody’s landlord, you might even own banks.

But you’re gonna have to serve somebody, yes indeed
You’re gonna have to serve somebody
Well, it may be the devil or it may be the Lord
But you’re gonna have to serve somebody.

You may be a preacher with your spiritual pride
You may be a city councilman taking bribes on the side
You may be workin’ in a barbershop, you may know how to cut hair
You may be somebody’s mistress, may be somebody’s heir.

But you’re gonna have to serve somebody, yes indeed
You’re gonna have to serve somebody
Well, it may be the devil or it may be the Lord
But you’re gonna have to serve somebody.

Might like to wear cotton, might like to wear silk
Might like to drink whiskey, might like to drink milk
You might like to eat caviar, you might like to eat bread
You may be sleeping on the floor, sleeping in a king-sized bed.

But you’re gonna have to serve somebody, yes indeed
You’re gonna have to serve somebody
Well, it may be the devil or it may be the Lord
But you’re gonna have to serve somebody.

You may call me Terry, you may call me Timmy
You may call me Bobby, you may call me Zimmy
You may call me R.J., you may call me Ray
You may call me anything but no matter what you say.

You’re gonna have to serve somebody, yes indeed
You’re gonna have to serve somebody
Well, it may be the devil or it may be the Lord
But you’re gonna have to serve somebody.”

Bob Dylan knew everyone had so serve “somebody.” That “somebody” was either the Lord or Satan.

There are a few interesting footnotes to this song.

John Lennon wrote a song, in response to this track, called “Serve Yourself.” That was typical Lennon with another message from Satan. We know that John Lennon was the enemy of God and a promoter of the coming kingdom of the antichrist, the New World Order, along with his unsaved partner, “Loco” Yoko Ono. We also know God UTTERLY DESTROYED John Lennon. He remains in Hades to this day and while awaiting his transfer to Gehenna forevermore at The Great White Throne Judgment as does “the rich man” in the tale of the rich man and Lazarus. Heb. 11:6 tells us this, “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” The opposite is exemplified by Is. 33:1, “Woe to thee that spoilest, and thou wast not spoiled; and dealest treacherously, and they dealt not treacherously with thee! when thou shalt cease to spoil, thou shalt be spoiled; and when thou shalt make an end to deal treacherously, they shall deal treacherously with thee.”

      NO, GOD IS NOT MOCKED.

“Gotta Serve Somebody” won the Grammy Award for “Best Rock Vocal Performance by a Male” in 1979. Bob Dylan performed this song during his ONLY appearance on Saturday Night Live on the 20th of October 1979. He also sang other two songs from the album: “I Believe In You” and “When You Gonna Wake Up” on the show.

There is another point of relevance here. Although Bob Dylan was a Jew by birth, he recognized the truth of Rom. 1:16, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” John 14:6 states, ” Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” We read in Acts 4:12, “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” Finally, in Rev. 3:20, Jesus stands ready to receive those who receive Him, ” Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”

Finally, I believe we see in Dylan’s stand FOR God across the breadth and expanse of this world his having been honoured BY God in the songwriter’s singular recognition by receipt of one of he highest awards this world can give, an award, mind you, that did not result in Dylan’s grovelling at the feet of mammon as evidenced by his non-appearance at the ultra-elite Awards Ceremony, not rushing off to receive the public accolades in Stockholm.

Indeed, is I Sam. 2:30 not altogether true and faithful?

“Wherefore the Lord God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the Lord saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.”
      — I Sam. 2:30

I believe this note accurately describes the plight and error of Jason Hommel, what behaviour is expected of a genuine Christian and what is not.

As the writing of Mr Hommel indicate his ears are deafened, his eyes blinded with scales and his conscience seared, the only thing left to do for him is lift him up in our prayers in hopes the Holy Spirit has not been so grieved that God is done with Mr. Hommel – for now.

Thank you all of faith for having taken the time to render your pleadings in hopes that the evil spirit guiding Jason he will command depart in the Name of Jesus and that the Lover of our souls has not yet written him off and will extract him from the miry clay into which somehow he has fallen.

      1. Fenwick Charters, M.D., Yes, I claim that Paul must have heard from a demon, and not God, and not Jesus, specifically because Jesus said he would not return in the way that Paul claimed, and because Jesus specifically commanded us to “believe it not” if there was a report like from Paul, where he claimed to have heard from an entity saying “I am Christ” out in the wilderness, as Paul did on the road to Damascus. In response now, all you can say is that I’m filled with a demon. You claim I write illogically, but you don’t point to any of the flaws in my logic. Logic is truth. The Holy Spirit is Truth. The Holy Spirit is thus Logic.

        1. So Jason, Are you living for Christ? What is your gospel? Please tell us what the Gospel is whereby we can have eternal life?

          1. Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
            ====
Do you see the contrast in these verses from Paul?:

            Romans 10:13 ►
for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
            vs.
            Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven;

  37. The Lord laughs at your “logic.”

” And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.”
    — Job 28:28

“God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”
    — John 4:24

“18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.

20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:

    23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;

24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:

    27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:

29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.

30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.”
    — I Cor. 1:18 – 31

    1. So again, please point to the error in logic that God laughs at, apparently through you.

If you cant, please state that your opinion, while you may believe is infallable tuth, is only your opinion, and is just your interpretation of scriptures, no better or worse than Jasons.

Because, i hate to break it to you, it is just your opinion and is not “truth” no matter how much you personally believe it to be so.

And if you cant see that and admit that, please to the world a favor and get a psychiatric evaluation for Narcissistic Personality Disorder.

  38. Initially when looking over what [ Jesuswordsonly.com ] purports I had a similar reaction to you – I couldn’t immediately refute it. Could this actually be correct? But just because we can’t immediately refute something doesn’t make it true.

The key verse to consider here I think would be Acts 17:11… “ Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. “

The site has lots of points to support it’s claim, but throughout it takes verses out of context and misinterprets them to support it’s claim(s). The point of the wedge as it were, is that Paul supposedly encountered a false Jesus on the road to Damascus, because Jesus had ascended to heaven at that point. However, if that’s the case for Paul, then it would have to be the case as well for Peter in Acts 10 and even more so for John – the entire Revelation!

Likewise where the website claims to have many instances of Paul contradicting Christ – that Paul supposedly claims that works are irrelevant. This is many instances of misinterpreting / twisting what Paul wrote. Paul was pointing out that we cannot earn our way to God with works – he wasn’t saying that works are irrelevant. As James wrote – faith without works is dead.

Regarding some that write you about (correctly) saying we “ought to avoid paper money usury as a false weight and measure and as an abomination” – that they say Paul teaches us that we are not under the law. Absurd! Are they going to kill people and violate other ten commandments? As Paul himself wrote in Romans 6… “ What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? ”

    Silver Steve

    1. Yes, I wonder about Acts 10 with Peter. Maybe Peter was deceived? Maybe that story never happened? Hard to know, we were not there. Acts was written by Luke, an Apologist for Paul, obviously. Paul never, in any of his own letters, writes about his own road to Damascus experience in as much detail as the story is told in Acts 3 times. Why also does Peter not tell of his Acts 10 experience in his two letters? Where are Peter’s 2 or 3 witnesses to corroborate his Acts 10 story? Maybe Luke made it up, to bolster Paul’s vision? We don’t know. While Acts exposes Paul, if you know where to look and cross examine it, Acts is also suspect. Where does anyone ever corroborate the Acts 15 compromise? It’s also not listed in any of the gospels, not in any of Paul’s letters, not in Revelation, not in Jude, nor James, nor John 1-2-3.

As for John’s Revelation, that is explicitly told to have come from an Angel. Revelation 1:1 The revelation from Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John

  39. Now Jason you are calling Luke a lier?

Don’t you see what you are doing? You are are saying that the bible isn’t true so we’re would this stop? I believe God is allowing your troubles to come upon you to get your attention and for you to fall on your knees to repent and surrender to him and ask Him to reveal the truth to you. Please listen to Him you are hurting the church

    1. I’m saying to obey Jesus in Matthew 24 to “believe it not”, so that we are not to believe Paul, and so that we are to believe and obey Jesus. That can only strengthen the Church.

  40. I hope that you did read all of this Jason and this is also for anyone who thinks that Luke was wrong

Was the Apostle Paul a false prophet?

    Synopsis

There is a belief spreading mostly within the Hebrew roots movement that Paul was a false prophet. The motivating force behind this claim is they believe Christians should submit to the letter of the Old Testament Law, but the stumbling block to overcome is the fact Paul clearly disagrees with them. Therefore, instead of following truth wherever it may lead, they are led to claim the vision Paul saw on the road to Damascus was actually Satanic in origin, instead of being the light of Jesus. However, could Christianity stand if Paul was an instrument of Satan? Could the bible survive the blow of Paul being a false prophet? I will examine these issues by proposing the full impact and disregard this self serving theology imposes on scripture.

The first issue would lead to the credibility of Luke. Doctor Luke wrote the Book of Acts, however, if Paul’s road to Damascus experience was Satanic, the book of Luke would fall apart. If Luke’s creditably is lost then we would have to call into question the whole Gospel of Luke?

Luke’s gospel has many events not found in any of the other biblical gospels; including the most detailed events which surround Jesus’ birth. Below are a couple of important events that we would have to call into question:

    1. Jesus’ genealogy starting all the way back to Adam

    2. The miraculous of the birth of John the Baptist

John’s birth was the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecy which if it didn’t happen, this would call into question the unity of scripture:

    Matthew 3:3

3 This is he who was spoken of through the prophet Isaiah:

“A voice of one calling in the wilderness,
‘Prepare the way for the Lord,
    make straight paths for him.’”[]

    Luke 1:11-15

11 Then an angel of the appeared to him, standing at the right side of the altar of incense. 12 When Zechariah saw him, he was startled and was gripped with fear. 13 But the angel said to him: “Do not be afraid, Zechariah; your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you are to call him John. 14 He will be a joy and delight to you, and many will rejoice because of his birth, 15 for he will be great in the sight of the Lord. He is never to take wine or other fermented drink, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit even before he is born.

The angel Gabriel appearing to Zechariah, John’s father, as the angel struck him mute until he named his son John.

The visit of the angel Gabriel to Mary

What about Mary’s credibility as she gave her Testimony to Luke of what she was told from the Angel Gabriel?

    Luke 1:26-33

26 In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, 27 to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. 28 The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.”

29 Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. 30 But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. 31 You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, 33 and he will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever; his kingdom will never end.”

When Mary visited her cousin Elizabeth and her unborn child

John the Baptist was filled with the spirit of the Lord before he was born. Should we then question Elizabeth’s testimony as she was filled with the Holy Spirit when John leaped in her womb?

    Luke 1:39-44

39 At that time Mary got ready and hurried to a town in the hill country of Judea, 40 where she entered Zechariah’s home and greeted Elizabeth. 41 When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. 42 In a loud voice she exclaimed: “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the child you will bear! 43 But why am I so favored, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? 44 As soon as the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy. 45 Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!”

The Angel’s appearing to the Shepherds

This is the only gospel that tells us that there was no room for Mary and Joseph at the inn. Would there ever be truth in setting up our manager scenes again at Christmas time?

    Could there ever be truth in singing Christmas songs like;

While shepherds watch their flocks by night

    Oh Holy Night

    Hark the herald angels sing

    The first Noel

    Or even silent night?

    Luke 2:8-14

8 And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”

13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,

14 “Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”

The prophecies of Simeon and Anna when Mary and Joseph brought Jesus to the temple as an infant

Was Simeon really told by the Holy Spirit that he would not die until he saw the Messiah? Was he really foretelling what would be in Jesus’ future, including that a sword will pierce Mary’s heart with grief? These are some of the questions we would have to ask about Luke’s gospel.

    Luke 2:25-38

25 Now there was a man in Jerusalem called Simeon, who was righteous and devout. He was waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was on him. 26 It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not die before he had seen the Lord’s Messiah. 27 Moved by the Spirit, he went into the temple courts. When the parents brought in the child Jesus to do for him what the custom of the Law required, 28 Simeon took him in his arms and praised God, saying:

29 “Sovereign Lord, as you have promised,
you may now dismiss[d] your servant in peace.
30 For my eyes have seen your salvation,
31 which you have prepared in the sight of all nations:
32 a light for revelation to the Gentiles,
and the glory of your people Israel.”

33 The child’s father and mother marveled at what was said about him. 34 Then Simeon blessed them and said to Mary, his mother: “This child is destined to cause the falling and rising of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be spoken against, 35 so that the thoughts of many hearts will be revealed. And a sword will pierce your own soul too.”

36 There was also a prophet, Anna, the daughter of Penuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was very old; she had lived with her husband seven years after her marriage, 37 and then was a widow until she was eighty-four.[e] She never left the temple but worshiped night and day, fasting and praying. 38 Coming up to them at that very moment, she gave thanks to God and spoke about the child to all who were looking forward to the redemption of Jerusalem.

Jesus being lost when He was brought to Jerusalem, when He was twelve years old and was found teaching the religious teachers in the temple

Was Jesus really lost and then found teaching and amazing the teachers in the temple? Did His amazing knowledge help prove that He was God as He wasn’t taught by the Jewish religious teachers?

    Luke 2:41-49

41 Every year Jesus’ parents went to Jerusalem for the Festival of the Passover. 42 When he was twelve years old, they went up to the festival, according to the custom. 43 After the festival was over, while his parents were returning home, the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem, but they were unaware of it. 44 Thinking he was in their company, they traveled on for a day. Then they began looking for him among their relatives and friends. 45 When they did not find him, they went back to Jerusalem to look for him. 46 After three days they found him in the temple courts, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. 47 Everyone who heard him was amazed at his understanding and his answers. 48 When his parents saw him, they were astonished. His mother said to him, “Son, why have you treated us like this? Your father and I have been anxiously searching for you.”

49 “Why were you searching for me?” he asked. “Didn’t you know I had to be in my Father’s house?”.

There are also 11 parables of Jesus which are NOT in any of the other gospels here is a list below.

    ∙ Two Debtors (Luke 7:41-43)

    ∙ Good Samaritan (Luke 10:30-37)

    ∙ Importunate Friend (Luke 11:5-8)

    ∙ Rich Fool (Luke 12:16-21)

    ∙ Barren Fig-tree (Luke 13:6-9)

∙ Lost Piece of Silver (Luke 15:8-10)

∙ Τhe prodigal Son (Luke 15:11-32)

    ∙ Unrighteous Manager (Luke 16:1-9)

∙ Rich Man and Lazarus (Luke 16:19-31)

    ∙ Unjust Judge (Luke 18:1-8)

∙ Pharisee and the Tax Collector (Luke 18:9-14)

Is it possible that Jesus did not teach these parables? Such well-known ones, like the Good Samaritan, the prodigal son and the rich man and Lazarus?

All of these events are only recorded in the book of Luke, however The Bible tells us that every word is inspired by God and all books of the bible are a unity containing the full message of God.

    2 Timothy 3:16

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,

There is important events in the Book of Acts that would also have to call into question under the Jewish roots and other similar Pauline heresies.

Did the Holy Spirit really come on the day of Pentecost? This led to Peter’s first sermon, when over three thousand Jews were converted on that same day.

Did a great persecution start on the day of Stephen’s death as recorded in Acts Chapter 8?

We would also have to call into question Ananias’s credibility who said he was sent to Paul by Jesus through a vision. Would we now have to consider that this vision too was of Satan?

There are many more events in the book of Acts which we couldn’t verify if Paul was a false prophet and Luke was mistaken.

People who claim the vision Paul saw was Satanic, also claim that Paul contradicted himself in addition to some of the apostles teachings, These people are using the Book of Acts to discredit Paul but the book of Acts actually supports Paul. Doctor Luke stated that it was Jesus in the vision and that Paul was God’s chosen Apostle to spread the gospel to the gentiles.

    Acts 9:3-6

3 As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. 4 He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?”

5 “Who are you, Lord?” Saul asked.

“I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,” he replied. 6 “Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”

    Acts 9:15

15 But the Lord said to Ananias, “Go! This man is my chosen instrument to proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel.

The books of Acts is very same source they use to discredit Paul, however, it is the very same source which supports Paul. Therefore, there argument is confused and divided?

When Jesus cast out a demon, He stated that a kingdom divided against its self cannot stand.

    Matthew 12:24-26

24 But when the Pharisees heard this, they said, “It is only by Beelzebul, the prince of demons that this fellow drives out demons.”

25 Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand. 26 If Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom stand?

Paul also cast out a demon.

    Acts 16:18

18 She kept this up for many days. Finally Paul became so annoyed that he turned around and said to the spirit, “In the name of Jesus Christ I command you to come out of her!” At that moment the spirit left her.

This confirms that the power came from God not Satan. Paul always glorified God through his works and if Satan did deceive Paul then Satan would be divided against himself. The fruits of Paul’s ministry reveal the truth, that it was Jesus in Paul’s vision and not Satan.

Paul had the support of the apostles as they dwelt together and started different churches with the same teachings and message. If the churches Paul started had the same teachings as the other churches, started by the apostle, then how did Satan deceive Paul? If it was Satan in Paul’s vision, then Satan’s deception failed as the message Paul received actually strengthened the church and helped the church grow. Christian lives were also saved when Paul received his vision on the way to Damascus, as he was going there to arrest Christians.

    2 Peter 3:15

15 Bear in mind that our Lord’s patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him.

Peter calls Paul his brother and not one of the apostles ever rebuked Paul’s for his teachings.

Jesus also commanded the church to take the gospel to the whole world

    Matthew 28:18-20

18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Paul’s stated many times that the gospel had reached the whole known world during his life time showing that the fruits of his ministry revealed the truth of who Paul was.

The truth of who was in Paul’s vision is revealed within these verses below, when Peter and some of the apostles were arrested and brought before the Sanhedrin.

Some arguments against Paul are that he contradicts what Jesus said in some of His teachings. Paul was at times misunderstood and was taken out of context. One argument is that the angles said in the book of Acts that Jesus would come back the same way He left, physically up to the clouds. Jesus will come back the same way He left but that doesn’t rule out Jesus appearing in visions like He did to Ananias or to John in the book of Revelation.

In Acts 9:7 Luke repeats the accounts of Paul’s testimony.

7 The men traveling with Saul stood there speechless; they heard the sound but did not see anyone.

In Acts 22:9 Paul says that his companions saw the light

9 My companions saw the light, but they did not understand the voice of him who was speaking to me.

This is not a contradiction but just different accounts of what his companions saw, they did see the light but they didn’t actually see Jesus.

Paul talks to different audiences, at different times, this is not a contraction or against what the apostles taught, it is just a partial account. Just like after the meeting of the Jewish council when the council wrote a letter to Gentile Believers recorded in acts 15:24-29.

    Acts 15:29

29 You are to abstain from food sacrificed to idols, from blood, from the meat of strangled animals and from sexual immorality. You will do well to avoid these things.

    Galatians 2:10

10 All they asked was that we should continue to remember the poor, the very thing I had been eager to do all along.

In Acts 15 the letter was given to the believers in Antioch, Syria and Cilicia but in Galatians Paul is talking to the believers in Galatia. Paul is talking to two different audiences; one is a quote from the letter, the other is a message that came from the meeting. Both are meant to encourage them in their walk of faith.

Some believe that Paul stated that the law wasn’t important or should be abolished and that Paul introduced his own law. This is not true. When the Jewish Leaders brought Paul up before Felix, Festus and King Agrippa, no one could prove that Paul did anything wrong regarding the law.

Paul understood that the Jews before the cross were saved by grace through faith in a future Messiah and that the law never saved anyone as they were not saved by works but by grace through faith. Paul also understood that the law was bondage to the unbelieving Jews. This is why all Israel can’t be saved, only true Israel, the church, can all be saved.

Some heretics claim Paul is admitted to being a liar.

    Romans 3:7

7 For if the truth of God has increased through my lie to His glory, why am I also still judged as a sinner?

Paul is not admitting that he is a liar he is paraphrasing what people were saying about him. Let’s also read the verses before and after this verse.

    Romans 3:5-8

5 But if our unrighteousness demonstrates the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unjust who inflicts wrath? (I speak as a man.) 6 Certainly not! For then how will God judge the world?

7 For if the truth of God has increased through my lie to His glory, why am I also still judged as a sinner? 8 And why not say, “Let us do evil that good may come”?—as we are slanderously reported and as some affirm that we say. Their condemnation is just.

Paul states in verse 7 that he was speaking as a man, not as a teacher of God’s word to prove a point that lying is wrong. Paul also states that people who lie bring condemnation upon themselves, he wasn’t justifying lying to glorify God even more. As for Paul admitting he was a liar, he was simply paraphrasing what was being misunderstood regarding these verses.
    Summary

Jesus stated that the gates of hell would not prevail over the church, obviously, under the Jewish roots paradigm the gates of hell did prevail over the church for over 1900 years. This would make Jesus out to be a false prophet…

    Matthew 16:18

18 And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Jesus and the apostles laid the foundations of the Church before the Bible was written, collected or canonized. Therefore, the church was not founded out of the New Testament cannon, rather, the New Testament was founded in the life of the church. To claim the church was deceived for 2000 years is to question the ability of the Apostles to pass down information to the church and also questions the guidance of the Holt Spirit. Even a person with the most basic understanding, or no understanding for that matter can confidently rebuke this false teaching because it was never taught by the historic church

I hope that this write-up helps anyone struggling with modern heretical movements tainting the internet with such fallacies. Paul was the chosen messenger of God who helped spread the gospel to the gentiles. Paul’s actions and teachings are unified with the rest of the bibles teachings and that the fruits of Paul’s ministry have helped the church grow and are still being taught 2000 years later.

    1. I went to https://www.facebook.com/groups/messianicdebates/ which is a messianic group of 12,000 members, to ask if anyone believed that Paul was a false apostle. Not one single person there did.

Here is a Hebrew Roots group, 15k in size. https://www.facebook.com/groups/chozenppl/ They say “1. We believe all scripture-Torah (Genesis through Deuteronomy), Writings, Prophets, and the Writings of the New Testament (including the Writings of Paul)-is inspired by YHWH and is for our benefit as the household of YHWH.”

So I could not find any support for the very first claim that you made, that the idea is from messianics.

The rest of the first paragraph is a string of false accusations into motives, which is impossible for any human to do, and I would therefore have to classify as thoroughly demonically inspired trash.

” instead of following truth wherever it may lead”. Again, a false accusation, in that they say I have not done this. That is exactly what I have done. Believing Jesus results in rejecting Paul, and half the new testament. Yes, believing Jesus leads there, where ever it may lead, indeed!

The rest of the bulk of the argument appears to be that “Gospel of Luke contains good”. That may well be so. But that is not how truth is established.

If a murderer is shown to be a murderer, and then you come along as the defense attorney and show that the murderer rightly claimed something that is right, such as 2+2=4, and even if I agree with the correctness of that statement, that in no way disproves the case that the murderer is a murderer. It would not even matter whatsoever.

If Paul claimed to have had a vision in the desert from an entity that claimed to be Jesus, and if Jesus, in advance, commanded us to not believe the report, that’s the end of the discussion, unless you want to believe in a lying Jesus. You are free to do so. But I am not.

      1. That’s why I said a movement within the Hebrews roots not that it’s what the Hebrew roots believes

This is also what is happening within the church which you prove. However small it may be these things seam to spread but the church can rest assure because Jesus said that the gates of hell will not overcome the church

        1. Daniel said in the last days or end times, knowledge will increase. I agree, the gates of Hell, through Paul, will not overcome the Church.

  41. Jason, agree with you 100%. I was a half paulian for 30 years and read that jesuswordsonly site and couldn’t believe it at first and then prayed and went on about 3 or 4 day of intense research and came to the same conclusion. I was amazed at how strong the mind control is over people. Paul is a schemer and writes using duality that creates cognitive dissonance. It pushes people into bubbles of group think with each other who believe what they want to believe. The bigger the lie is the harder it is for people to accept. Paul is one of the biggest scams in the history of the world, they put all his letters right next to the Gospels so that the tares would go there while the wheat goes with Jesus. Maybe it’s by design to sort out the people who love Jesus and want to follow His commands and the people that want to hear smooth speech that tickles their ears. People are too comfortable in their sin. Throw in dispensationalism as a means to systematically make sense of Pauls nonsense and it gets even more confusing. Most of these people on here just don’t know how to think critically. Thank you for being honest and loving Jesus…and for sharing the truth. Blessings.

    1. Well said Ron.. there are many sites not just the JESUSwordsonly site that supports and scripturally provides these same conclusions. Even way back to the ebionites (early church) who also strongly rejected Paul.

  42. I guess you all would say Peter is a fraud too . Acts proclaims Paul to be truthful . The utter fools you are . You are members of the falling away .

  43. This article summarizes what has been said about Paul:
    https://www.facebook.com/notes/10152896585384688/

    One such excerpt:
Carl Jung, the famous Swiss psychiatrist, in his essay “A Psychological Approach to Dogma”:
“Saul’s [Paul’s name before his conversion] fanatical resistance to Christianity. . . . was never entirely overcome. It is frankly disappointing to see how Paul hardly ever allows the real Jesus of Nazareth to get a word in.”

Looking at the comments here defending Paul, one can see how easily Paul has befooled Christians.

  44. I know. It threw me for a loop for months! I came about it by a slightly different means, by realizing Paul had a lot of the traits of a personality disorder.

I then read a book called “Let us Prey” which talked about the level of malignant narcissism in the church leadership. That is some pretty sweet narcissistic supply believing you are especially chosen by God to lead people, or maybe better, people looking to you as their mouthpiece to God. Talk about feeling superior.

Is it really that hard to spot in churches now? Pastors with multimillion dollar book deals, private jets, fancy cars, or getting caught molesting kids, or caught with drugs and hookers!

Anyways, I applaud your search for truth, where ever that truth ends up being, and being rational enough to change your view when presented with contrary credible evidence. I know a lot of Christian’s think they have the market cornered on truth, but the reality is, they only have their opinions…no matter how passionately or loudly they say otherwise. Reading some of the condemning comments, you can see quite plainly they dont have the love of Christ their “truth” says they should have if the really believed what they say they believed. I dont think they really believe it, i think they just want to feel like they are right…enlightened…superior.

  45. I also find it ironic that all these verses use to condemn your belief could just as easily be used to accuse Paul of the same things: changing doctrine, etc, etc. A man that was arguing doctrine with people that knew Jesus personally, and changing Jesus doctrine. That takes some arrogance.
