(Oh, why do I poke a stick at the hornet’s nest of people’s idols like I do?)

On why we ought to avoid using force on others:

Revelation 22:11 He who is unjust, let him be unjust still; he who is filthy, let him be filthy still; he who is righteous, let him be righteous[e] still; he who is holy, let him be holy still.”

Revelation 13:10 He who leads into captivity shall go into captivity; he who kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

Matthew 7:12 “So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.”

Luke 6:35 But love your enemies, do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is gracious to the ungrateful and evil.

Leviticus 20:4 If the people of the land close their eyes when a man gives any of his children to Molech, and do not put him to death, 5 then I Myself will go against that man and his family.

Romans 12:19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

On why we must use silver and gold as money, and not paper:

Leviticus 19:35 Use honest scales and don’t cheat when you weigh or measure anything.

Deuteronomy 25:15 If you weigh and measure things honestly, the LORD your God will let you enjoy a long life in the land he is giving you.

On why we ought to avoid debt:

Deuteronomy 23:19 When you lend money, food, or anything else to another Israelite, you are not allowed to charge interest.
Proverbs 22:7 The poor are ruled by the rich, and those who borrow are slaves of moneylenders.

On the nature of Government, the so-called “divine right of kings”, a “tolerated evil”:

Daniel 4:17 ” ‘The decision is announced by messengers, the holy ones declare the verdict, so that the living may know that the Most High is sovereign over the kingdoms of men and gives them to anyone he wishes and sets over them the lowliest of men.’

1 Samuel 8:6-18 But when they said, “Give us a king to lead us,” this displeased Samuel; so he prayed to the LORD. 7 And the LORD told him: “Listen to all that the people are saying to you; it is not you they have rejected, but they have rejected me as their king. 8 As they have done from the day I brought them up out of Egypt until this day, forsaking me and serving other gods, so they are doing to you. 9 Now listen to them; but warn them solemnly and let them know what the king who will reign over them will do.”

10 Samuel told all the words of the LORD to the people who were asking him for a king. 11 He said, “This is what the king who will reign over you will do: He will take your sons and make them serve with his chariots and horses, and they will run in front of his chariots. 12 Some he will assign to be commanders of thousands and commanders of fifties, and others to plow his ground and reap his harvest, and still others to make weapons of war and equipment for his chariots. 13 He will take your daughters to be perfumers and cooks and bakers. 14 He will take the best of your fields and vineyards and olive groves and give them to his attendants. 15 He will take a tenth of your grain and of your vintage and give it to his officials and attendants. 16 Your menservants and maidservants and the best of your cattle and donkeys he will take for his own use. 17 He will take a tenth of your flocks, and you yourselves will become his slaves. 18 When that day comes, you will cry out for relief from the king you have chosen, and the LORD will not answer you in that day.”

On the nature of personal sovereignty, and why just governments must respect “the divine right of all individuals of the Earth”.

1 Peter 2:9 But you are a special people, a holy nation, priests and kings, a people given up completely to God, so that you may make clear the virtues of him who took you out of the dark into the light of heaven.

Revelation 5:9-10
And they sang a new song, saying:
“ You are worthy to take the scroll,
And to open its seals;
For You were slain,
And have redeemed us to God by Your blood
Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation,
10 And have made us kings and priests to our God;
And we shall reign on the earth.”

On human rights:

Proverbs 31:8-9 “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.”

On Democracy, or “majority rule”:

Exodus 23:2 Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil. . .

Matthew 12:25 . . .every city or house divided against itself shall not stand”

Matthew 7:13 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.

On Oligarchy, or “rule by the rich”

Proverbs 22:7 The rich rules over the poor, And the borrower becomes the lender’s slave.

Matthew 25:21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

On the wisdom of increasing trade:

1 Kings 10:1-29

1 Kings 10:2 Arriving at Jerusalem with a very great caravan—with camels carrying spices, large quantities of gold, and precious stones—she came to Solomon and talked with him about all that she had on her mind.

1 Kings 10:13 King Solomon gave the queen of Sheba all she desired and asked for, besides what he had given her out of his royal bounty. Then she left and returned with her retinue to her own country.

On why going to war must be voluntary (no draft):

Deuteronomy 20:8 And the officers shall speak further unto the people, and they shall say, What man is there that is fearful and fainthearted? let him go and return unto his house, lest his brethren’s heart faint as well as his heart.

On Self Defense:

Genesis 14:14 And when Abram heard that his brother was taken captive, he armed his trained servants, born in his own house, three hundred and eighteen, and pursued them unto Dan.

Esther 8:11 The king’s edict granted the Jews in every city the right to assemble and protect themselves; to destroy, kill and annihilate any armed force of any nationality or province that might attack them and their women and children; and to plunder the property of their enemies.

Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth; I came not to send peace, but a sword.

On allowing Immigration:

Leviticus 19:33 And if a stranger sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not vex him.
Leviticus 19:34 But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.

Leviticus 24:22 You shall have the same law for the stranger and for one from your own country; for I am the LORD your God.’”

On allowing bankruptcy:

Proverbs 22:7 The poor are ruled by the rich, and those who borrow are slaves of moneylenders.

Exodus 21:2 If you buy a Hebrew servant, he shall serve six years; and in the seventh he shall go out free and pay nothing.

On Taxes:

Matthew 22:21
They said to Him, “Caesar’s.” And He said to them, “Render therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”

Haggai 2:8 All silver and gold belong to me, [says the Lord God]

On why to abolish Inheritance Taxes:

Numbers 27:8 And you shall speak to the children of Israel, saying: ‘If a man dies and has no son, then you shall cause his inheritance to pass to his daughter.

Proverbs 13:22 If you obey God, you will have something to leave your grandchildren. If you don’t obey God, those who live right will get what you leave.

On why progressive income taxes are immoral, and why both government welfare for the poor is immoral, and why corporate welfare is immoral, and why monopoly grants and patents are immoral, and why there must be equality under the law; why the law must apply the same to all people, rich or poor.

Leviticus 19:15 ‘You shall do no injustice in judgment. You shall not be partial to the poor, nor honor the person of the mighty. In righteousness you shall judge your neighbor.

Deuteronomy 1:17 You shall not show partiality in judgment; you shall hear the small as well as the great; you shall not be afraid in any man’s presence, for the judgment is God’s. The case that is too hard for you, bring to me, and I will hear it.’

On who is to provide welfare:

Exodus 20:12 Respect your father and your mother, and you will live a long time in the land I am giving you.

1 Timothy 5:8 People who don’t take care of their relatives, and especially their own families, have given up their faith. They are worse than someone who doesn’t have faith in the Lord.

Leviticus 25:35 ‘If one of your brethren becomes poor, and falls into poverty among you, then you shall help him, like a stranger or a sojourner, that he may live with you. 36 Take no usury or interest from him; but fear your God, that your brother may live with you. 37 You shall not lend him your money for usury, nor lend him your food at a profit. 38 I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, to give you the land of Canaan and to be your God.

On the cause of Poverty, and solution:

Proverbs 10:4 Laziness leads to poverty; hard work makes you rich.

Proverbs 28:19 Work hard, and you will have a lot of food; waste time, and you will have a lot of trouble.

On why Herbs, & Drugs ought to be legal:

Genesis 1:29
And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

Psalm 104:14
He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth;

On why CDO’s are failing (collateralized debt obligations), banks failing, derivatives failing, and on why to not cosign for a loan for someone else, etc.:

Proverbs 6:
1 My son, if you become surety for your friend,
If you have shaken hands in pledge for a stranger,
2 You are snared by the words of your mouth;
You are taken by the words of your mouth.

Proverbs 11:15
He who is surety for a stranger will suffer, But one who hates being surety is secure.

On Why Socialism & Communism fail:

Proverbs 1:
11 when they say, “Come on! Let’s gang up and kill somebody, just for the fun of it
12 let us swallow them up alive as the grave, and whole, as those that go down to the pit;
13 we shall find much precious substance, we shall fill our houses with spoil;
14 cast in thy lot among us, let us all have one purse””
15 my son, walk not thou in the way with them; restrain thy foot from their path;
16 for their feet run to evil and make haste to shed blood.
17 Surely in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird!
18 And they lie in wait for their own blood; they lurk privily for their own lives.
19 So are the ways of every one that is greedy for gain, which taketh away the life of the owners thereof.

Acts 4:32 Now the multitude of those who believed [at Jerusalem] were of one heart and one soul; neither did anyone say that any of the things he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common. 33 And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all. 34 Nor was there anyone among them who lacked; for all who were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the proceeds of the things that were sold, 35 and laid them at the apostles’ feet; and they distributed to each as anyone had need.

Romans 15:26
For it pleased those from Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor among the saints who are in Jerusalem.

On why pensions, wage withholding, worker’s compensation insurance, & Social Security are frauds from the beginning:

Leviticus 19:13 ” Do not defraud your neighbor or rob him.
“Do not hold back the wages of a hired man overnight.

James 5:4 Look! The wages you failed to pay the workmen who mowed your fields are crying out against you. The cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord Almighty.
