The best mineral for arthritis is boron. The doctor who discovered this is Rex Newnham, Ph.D. “Essentiality of Boron for Healthy Bones and Joints” https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/7889887/
https://livingfoods.co.uk/curing-arthritis-by-pioneering-naturopath-dr-rex-newnham/
The minimum to take for arthritis is 20-30mg. You can get that in 1/16th of a teaspoon of boron containing powder, which, is sold in a box, is used as a laundry additive, is sold in detergent isles in Drug and Grocery stores everywhere. It might be best to work up slowly to that dose over a week or two, and to take plenty of water with it, to avoid feeling like vomiting. It works best with a bit of magnesium and calcium, but it’s best to not take too many minerals at the same time, to avoid feeling like vomiting. Here is my article on boron: https://revealingfraud.com/2020/06/health/how-to-get-started-taking-boron/
The best vitamin for arthritis is niacin, also known as Vitamin B3. The doctor who discovered this, Abram Hoffer, died in 2009.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abram_Hoffer
His protocol is to take 3000 mg of non flushing niacin in the form of Niacinamide in a day, in 3 doses of 1000 mg or 6 doses of 500 mg spread throughout the day. And it’s best to take it with a B-Complex vitamin with all the other B vitamins, because taking so much of one, can deplete the other B vitamins, and you need them all.

Niacin, as directed above, actually increases the range of motion of the joints. I tested this out myself, and it’s so true. I was semi-regularly taking the flushing kind of niacin, 500 mg. Upon seeing the need to put this program together, I had to try the non flushing niacin in large amounts for myself, even though I had already cured my arthritis. Sure enough, I was aching to do some greens and stretching. But I started 1500mg non flushing niacin instead. Wow. In just three days, I got substantial increased range of motion without stretching!
However, excessive Niacin blocks copper, so I no longer take Niacin.
STOP! Directions!
Step 1. Buy a box 20 Mule Team Borax in stores nearly everywhere, sold next to the laundry detergents, and buy the non flushing kind of niacin, niacinamide, in 500 mg capsules at a health food store. Take as directed above.
Step 2. After you get some pain relief in a few days to a week, and you want to improve things, because you can see that it’s working, get the next two supplements, magnesium, and B complex vitamins.
Step 3. After you get started with niacin and boron, above, then read the rest below. There is no need to do everything at once, and it can actually be counterproductive. You don’t want to get overwhelmed. There is no need to push through too many detox reactions at once. Each supplement you take can cause a new cleansing/detox reaction. You just need to get started with the things that are most effective for arthritis; boron and niacin.
There is another arthritis protocol with just B6. However, I believe B6 is toxic, and not a viable cure. And again, it’s best to take with a B complex vitamin.
What boron and niacin have in common.
- Both detox. Boron is known to detox fluoride. Fluoride is particularly bad for the joints; it causes skeletal fluorosis and joint tears. Niacin is known as a key part of the “Niacin and Sauna detox protocol”.
- Both help calcium metabolism; both help take calcium out of the soft tissues and put it into the bone where it belongs.
As indicated above, magnesium and calcium can help boron work better, and a B Complex vitamin helps B3 work better. There are many vitamin and mineral interactions, and you may be interested to learn that arthritis has been called a “pan deficiency” disease, or a deficiency of many vitamins and minerals. For example, silica also helps the bones; it seems to be good for strengthening the spine. Copper is good for the joints; people actually sometimes get relief just from copper bracelets. Copper, Vitamin C, and Niacin all work to form collagen. Iodine, like boron, also helps to detox fluoride. It seems to me the more we take, the better. Here is the full list of supplements I’m taking:

Other things that work very well for arthritis:
Magnesium. My own mother took way too much calcium for years, which was the primary cause of her arthritis which got so bad, she could hardly drive a car, because of the pain of holding the steering wheel. Within 3 days of reducing her calcium, and increasing magnesium, she was on her hand and knees, putting together a shelft!
MSM Sulfur. This is often indicated for arthritis. This is a detoxing mineral.
Silica. Silica also makes the bones stronger, particularly the spine. Silica also helps in collagen formation. Flechas is also an “iodine doctor”. Dr. Flechas has a great video on silica. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=faBAT3hIbGw&list=PLbGAiwxGKhrtgRDK2zK6mS0aeBDgbulGw&index=2&t=0s
Copper. A lot of people swear by copper for arthritis. Copper, along with Vitamin C and Niacin, helps to build collagen.
While everything helps, and while it all works together, still, the top two things for arthritis are boron and niacin. Each cures arthritis by itself!
WHEN NATURAL CURES ARE NOT WORKING… This happens. This is usually not the fault of the natural cure. You have to consider the big picture.
Are you taking any prescription medicines that cause arthritis? If so, you should consider weaning off of them. The biggest offenders are pain medicines, which of course, anyone with arthritis is usually taking, including over the counter non prescription medicines like Tylenol, Ibuprofen, and Aspirin. They call these NSAIDS, or Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Note, boron and niacin are anti inflammatory! So is copper, and greens, and MSM sulfur.
Problems: 1. All of these NSAIDS pain relievers cause bleeding through the same mechanism, copper depletion. Copper is vital to help build collagen, along with Vitamin C and Niacin, which also build collagen.
2. All of the NSAIDS cause liver damage, and the drugs are toxic, meaning, they are harmful to the body. The liver is vital to detoxify the body, so the body starts becoming more toxic over time, which prevents healing.
The “steroidal” drugs are even worse, particularly cortisol based drugs. Cortisol destroys every form of tissue it comes into contact with. Dying and dead tissues are the exact opposite of healing. See my expose articles on the dangers of cortisol:
Fluoride and fluoride based medicines.
Fluoride causes joint tears and joint pains. 99% of people in America are exposed to fluoride. It’s not just added to tap water. It’s in foods prepared with tap water. It’s in chicken feed at over 100 times greater concentrations than found in tap water. It’s used as a preservative and antifungal on dried fruits, particularly grapes, and it’s not listed as an ingredient. Fortunately, boron detoxes fluoride but so does iodine and I believe so does copper. See:
https://revealingfraud.com/2020/05/health/copper-and-other-minerals-detox-fluoride
https://revealingfraud.com/2020/05/health/copper-toxicity-refuted/
Next, there are many fluoride based medicines. Be sure to check the medicines you are taking. About half of all medicines for depression or anxiety contain fluorides, or ARE fluorides. Prozac is a fluoride. It will destroy your joints and brain.
About a third of all prescription medicines contain fluoride now.
So this is 3 classes of medicines to avoid: 1. pain killers. 2. cortisol. 3. Fluoride based anti depressants, fluoride based antibiotics, and other fluoride based medicines. Wean off of these things.
I also used to be an alcoholic. I quit alcohol in October, 2011. Alcohol depletes the B vitamins, like niacin, the cure for arthritis, and is hard on the liver. No wonder why I developed arthritis. I was also drinking wine, made from grapes, which contains fluorides and also glyphosate, another toxin.
Niacin and Iodine are also both reported as cures for alcoholism! See how these things are related? Niacin and Iodine are also powerful antidepressants, and brain boosters and intelligence boosters. Copper is also a brain booster. Copper and Iodine and Niacin all increase neurotransmitters. They will all act to reduce brain fog, and make your brain come alive.
GREENS
As I wrote, I healed from arthritis from greens and stretching.
Greens and Apples contain high amounts of boron, in the theraputic dose of about 20 mg. But it depends on the soil in which they are grown, so it’s not always reliable.
Greens heal in many ways. They are detoxers, diuretics and chelators. This means they help remove toxic heavy metals and other minerals. Kale is known to block iodine. Greens contain many minerals, but I’m still not sure how many minerals we can absorb from greens, if any at all. They may carry out more minerals than they provide. Plants absorb minerals from the soil, it’s what they do. This can be a good thing. If you need to lower your salt, greens are the way to do it. They can be used to help balance out extra mineral intake. But if you overdo greens, as I did, taking them for 3 years, without mineral supplements… well, they eventually left me low in minerals. I ended up with dehydration, cramps in my muscles, and constipated. You need salt and magnesium to avoid constipation. Salt helps you retain water, and helps prevent dehydration; it’s the principle upon which Gatorade is based; an electrolyte sports drink. I do NOT recommend Gatorade.
Remember: Ancient Romans added salt to their greens. They were a very strong people; consider their roads, aqueducts, and military conquests.
VITAMIN K
While K is beginning to be known to be useful for arthritis, I highly recommend greens over vitamin K. The vitamin by itself just does not appear nearly as powerful as greens. 1 cup of spinach contains about 1000 mg of Vitamin K. I think of Vitamins as “supplements”. You only need to supplement if you are not getting it in your diet. I have tried to take K, and not greens, and it just does not work. Greens relieve arthritis pain. They just do.
VITAMIN D
I find Vitamin D to be controversial. It is said it “helps regulate calcium”. This is vague. It actually does help the body retain calcium, but it also puts it into the soft tissues, which can be very bad. Magnesium and Boron and Niacin and Vitamin K in greens helps prevent putting calcium into the soft tissues, and help keep it in the bones, where it belongs.
Vitamin D, as a supplement, was initially marketed as a rat poison. The mechanism of action of toxicity was calcification of the soft tissues. So I while I advocate vitamins, I’m highly suspect about D.
The best way to get D is through natural exposure to sunlight. I have found copper helps the body make melanin for the skin which helps you to tan, and thus prevent sunburns. Many older people avoid the sun, remain pasty white, and end up with joint problems. They need copper and the sun.

TESTOSTERONE
Many patients think they are taking “steroids” for their arthritis, because the doctors will call cortisol a “steroid”. But most people think of testosterone and bodybuilding when they hear the word “steroid”. Testosterone works because it improves the rate of healing. It helps build big muscles through healing. Cortisol does not heal, it destroys. It may technically be a steroid, but it does the opposite of testosterone.
I do not recommend steroids. The biggest side effect is that they cause the body to shut down natural production of steroids. You want to do the opposite; you want to boost the body’s natural production of testosterone. The key minerals that boost testosterone are: zinc, iodine, selenium, and copper. Copper helps the body make DHEA, which is converted into all the other hormones.
I have done multiple extensive reviews on Testosterone, here is my latest study.
Final Bonus Material and thoughts.
Increased bleeding has been associated with increased arthritis. I have a type II bleeding disorder, and in paying attention to the things that cause bleeding and stop bleeding has led me to create the “stop bleeding program” here:
https://revealingfraud.com/2020/05/health/how-to-stop-and-prevent-bleeding-bruising-and-nosebleeds
What I find interesting is that many of the things on that list are also listed as helping with arthritis: greens, copper, calcium, B vitamins, iodine, and boron. I forgot that boron was even on that list; but now I realize boron stops bleeding though two mechanisms of action: it detoxes fluoride, and fluoride can cause bleeding, and boron helps the body retain calcium, and calcium stops bleeding. Cayenne pepper is perhaps the strongest stop bleeding item on my list, and it is also indicated for arthritis. But people who advocate for cayenne to use with arthritis describe a different mechanism of action; one of pain blocking. It is also important to avoid pain killers, as they cause bleeding. So that’s three mechanisms of action that pain killers cause arthritis, since bleeding is associated with increased arthritis. Copper depletion and toxicity are the other two mechanisms of action, as I listed above, why pain killers, NSAIDS are bad for arthritis.
